Yes. This is because he thought that this is not the nature of conditioned phenomena. Furthermore, if one considers arising, etc., to be the nature of conditioned phenomena, then whether one considers each individually, or all together, to be the nature, neither way is acceptable. As it is said: Arising, etc., three individually, cannot be the nature of conditioned phenomena, how can one thing at one time, be together? Among them, the individual ones cannot be the nature, because if at the time of arising, there is no abiding and ceasing, then, like space, arising separated from abiding and ceasing, is not reasonable as the nature of conditioned phenomena. If at the time of abiding, there is no arising and ceasing, then, separated from them, there is abiding, and since the thing separated from arising and ceasing exists, it is not reasonable for this non-existent thing like a sky-flower to have abiding. Furthermore, having abiding, it will not later have impermanence, because it has a dharma that contradicts it. If one thinks that it was previously permanent and later becomes impermanent, it is not reasonable for one thing to have permanence and impermanence. Therefore, there is no abiding separated from arising and ceasing. Similarly, at the time of ceasing, if there is no abiding and arising, then, without arising and separated from abiding, there is also no ceasing, just like a sky-flower. Thus, for the time being, each of the three, arising, etc., cannot be the function of nature. Cannot, means that there is no power. Now it is said that the assembled ones are also not acceptable. How can one thing at one time, be together? He thought that one thing at one time, like desire and non-desire, or like light and darkness, is unreasonable because they contradict each other. In the only moment, the moment when a thing arises, in that very moment there is abiding and ceasing, who with mind will be able to understand? Therefore, for the assembled arising, etc., there is also no power to function as the nature of conditioned phenomena. This

If, if birth is compounded, then in what is said there, if birth and so on have three characteristics and become a fault, then what fault would there be from that? If it is not compounded, then what fault is there? It should be said that for birth, duration, and cessation, there is another characteristic of the compounded. If it exists, it becomes endless; if it does not exist, then they are not compounded. If faults have already been stated for both sides, then what is the use of repeating them? It is true that faults are stated, but that was not said by the teacher. Then what is it? It is said by the commentator. In one way, the teacher said it again in order to clarify the previously made vow by stating other faults. If for birth, duration, and cessation, one considers birth and so on to be other characteristics of the compounded, then at that time, for them too, because they are other, it will become the fault of being endless. Even if it becomes the fault of being endless, what would there be prior to what will become other at a later time? Therefore, because there is no distinction, birth and so on are impossible, he thought. Or, previously it was not the main point, so only the refutation of birth was stated, but now it is common. If they do not exist, then they are not compounded. This is just understanding the meaning. Here, many respected people think that birth and so on have birth and so on, and it will not become the fault of being endless, because characteristics that are in accordance with the characteristic establish each other. Because here, when a compounded dharma, virtuous or afflicted, arises, the self and fifteen will arise, namely the dharma itself, and its birth, possession, duration, aging, impermanence, and if the dharma is afflicted, then its reversed liberation, or if it is virtuous, then its correct liberation, if it is definitely renunciative, then its definite renunciation, if it is not renunciative, then its non-renunciation, like this.

These are the wheels. Then, from the birth of another birth, to the non-determination of non-determination, these are the wheels of the wheel. Whichever of those is the root birth, it generates fourteen other dharmas besides itself. The one named 'birth of birth,' having become a concordant characteristic, generates only the root birth. Likewise, non-determination itself does not make the fourteenth day a determination; they do not attain nirvana, that is the meaning. The non-determination of non-determination does not make that non-determination itself a determination, up to that point. Therefore, in order to avoid the endlessness of such births and so on, the birth of birth generates only the root birth. The root birth also generates the birth of birth. Thus it is said. Birth is of two kinds: one is the root birth, and the other is called the birth of birth, because the birth of birth is the birth of birth. Among them, the birth called 'birth of birth' generates only the root birth, and then the birth called 'birth of birth' is generated by the root birth. Therefore, in order to thus mutually accomplish, birth and so on have three characteristics, and it will not become the fault of endlessness, thus it is said. To this it should be said: If your birth of birth generates the root birth, how does that which was not generated by your root generate? If the birth of birth generates the root birth, that is your view, then how does the birth of birth, which was not generated by the root birth, generate the root? If you think that only the birth of birth generated by the root birth generates the root, this also does not exist, thus it is said. If your root generated
