Thus, there is nothing. In that, not knowing, beings become deluded. Just as the mountain kings are all immovable, so too, these dharmas are always unable to move. Without death or transmigration, and without birth, these dharmas are thus well taught by the Victorious One. And so on. Likewise, whatever dharma is without birth and without arising, without death or transmigration, and does not change into old age, the Lion of Men shows it there, and places hundreds of beings in it. Whatever has no intrinsic nature whatsoever, and is not other, and cannot be found by anyone, neither inside nor outside, the Protector places them in those. Although the Sugata speaks of the peaceful realm of activity, no realm of activity can be found. He speaks of them as liberated from activity. Having liberated, he liberates many sentient beings. It is said like that. From the Clear Words composed by the master Chandrakirti, the commentary on the first chapter called "Analysis of Conditions" is completed. Here it is said: If, again, by preventing birth, the distinctions of dependent arising, such as non-cessation, are established, nevertheless, in that way, in order to establish that dependent arising has no going and no coming, for the sake of refuting the activity of going and coming, it is necessary to state a few other very famous reasons. It should be stated: If there is a definite thing called "going," then whether it is the nature of the path that has been gone, or not gone, or is being gone, should be examined. It is said that in all ways it is not reasonable. For a while, one does not go on what has been gone. There is no going on what has not been gone either. Apart from what has been gone and what has not been gone, the going cannot be known. There, the action of going that has ceased in the nature of the path is called "gone." The action of going that has not arisen is called "not gone." And what is presently seized by the action of going is called "being gone." There, that which is gone, the action of going that has ceased, if the word "being gone" is spoken with a connection to the present action of going, since there is no connection, therefore, it is not reasonable to say that one goes on what has been gone for a while. The word "for a while" shows the order of refutation. There is also no going on what has not been gone, for what has not been gone is the action of going not

Arising refers to the future, while "going" refers to what is happening now. Therefore, the future and the present are very different, so it is unreasonable to use the word "going" for what has not passed. If it is unpassed, how can it go? If it is going, how can it be unpassed? There is also no going in pacing, because: Apart from what has passed and what has not passed, Pacing cannot be cognized. Here, the place that the goer has surpassed is the place that has passed; and the place that has not been surpassed is the place that has not passed. Apart from what has passed and what has not passed, pacing, as the third state of the path, is not seen. Because pacing cannot be cognized, cannot be cognized and cannot be understood, therefore pacing does not exist. Therefore, it is not encompassed by the act of going, nor is it going, so there is no going in pacing either. If it is thought that the place where the foot of the going goer steps is pacing, that is not the case. Because the foot is also composed of particles, the back of the particle located at the tip of the toe belongs to the category of what has passed; and the front of the particle located at the heel of the foot belongs to the category of what has not passed. Apart from particles, there is no foot, therefore, pacing, which is different from what has passed and what has not passed, does not exist. Just as the foot is analyzed in this way, the particles should also be analyzed from the perspective of their relationship to the east-west direction. Therefore, it is unreasonable to say that pacing is partly passed by analyzing the phenomenon that is just arising. Therefore, it can be determined that there is no going in pacing. Here it is said: There is indeed going in pacing, because: Where there is movement, there is going. And because in pacing, Movement is neither passed nor unpassed. Therefore there is going in pacing. The movement referred to here is the characteristic of lifting and placing the foot. Because the movement of the going goer exists anywhere
