Where is that which is asserted to be? Where is that which points to the fruit itself, saying, "This is it"? Therefore, even from the perspective of intrinsic nature, there is no established cause. Here it is said: Observing that things like wool arise from things like cotton threads, cotton threads and so on are the causes of wool and so on. It should be explained: If the arising of the fruit, such as wool, does not exist, how can the very nature of the cause be established? Just as the arising of the fruit, such as wool, does not exist, to show this: When the causes are assembled separately, that fruit is non-existent. What is not in the causes, how can it arise from the causes? Thus it is said. In this case, wool is not separately present in each of the separate elements such as cotton threads, glue, copper wire, and seed trees, because they are not observed in those elements, and because many causes would lead to many fruits. Wool is also not present in the assembled cotton threads and so on, because it is not present in each of the individual parts, and because it would lead to the fault of one fruit being produced in segments. Therefore, since the fruit does not exist, the causes do not exist. If one were to think, "Even if it does not exist, can it arise from those causes?" then, for things that are not causes, since the fruit also does not exist, why would wool not arise from things that are not causes, such as refuse? Therefore, the arising of the fruit does not exist. Here it is said: If the fruit is something else and the cause is also something else, then, at that time, if one were to consider whether the fruit exists in the causes or not, then a different fruit does not exist. What is it then? It is merely the nature of the cause itself. It should be explained: The fruit is the nature of the cause, the causes are not their own nature. What fruit is there from something that is not self-existent? That is the nature of the cause in that way. If one were to establish that the fruit is the nature of the cause, a transformation of the form of the cause, that would not be reasonable. Because the causes are also not their own nature, which means the essence of non-causes. If one were to say that wool is of the nature of cotton threads, if the cotton threads were established in their own essence

Furthermore, if it transforms into woolen cloth, those are transformations into the form of partial self-nature, but being established by self-nature does not exist. Therefore, for those that are not their own self-nature, just as the fruit called woolen cloth, they transform into the self-nature of yarn. As it is said: Woolen cloth is produced from causes, and causes are also produced from others, if something does not establish itself, how can it produce others? Thus it is said. Therefore, it is not the self-nature of conditions. Therefore, the fruit of the self-nature of conditions does not exist. Then, will it transform into the self-nature of non-conditions? The fruit of the self-nature of non-conditions does not exist. When woolen cloth is also not the self-nature of yarn, how can it transform into the self-nature of contradictory opposition? Here it is said, although the fruit is completely non-existent, the certainty of conditions and non-conditions exists. Even so, you would say, if the non-existent fruit also arises from conditions, why does it not arise from non-conditions? If the fruit of woolen cloth and "Re De" does not exist, then yarn and "Jogma" also cannot be conditions and non-conditions, therefore the fruit also exists. It should be said, if the fruit exists, then it will become conditions and non-conditions. Like this, if the fruit exists, then these are the conditions for this, these are not the conditions for this, if it is said like that, then that is also non-existent after analysis. Therefore, because the fruit does not exist, how can it become non-conditions and conditions? Conditions and non-conditions are the abbreviation of the sentence. Therefore, things are not existent in arising. As it is said in the Sutra of the Noble Jewel Source: Wherever there is no emptiness wisdom, it is like the tracks of birds in the sky. Wherever there is not even a bit of essence, that will never become the cause of another. Whose essence cannot be found, without self-nature, how can it be the condition of another? What can something without self-nature produce? The Tathagata has already shown that cause. All dharmas also remain unmoving and stable, unchanging, without harm, peaceful, just like the sky is knowledge.
