Because it is the cause of direct perception, it is said to be direct perception. The phrase "whatever engages with the senses and the individual senses" explains the term direct perception in detail. In that case, cognition is not the object of the senses, and because it is the object of the object, it would be unreasonable to explain it separately. It would not be unreasonable to say that it is each object or each thing itself. If it is said that although the arising of consciousness depends on both, consciousness changes according to the clarity and obscurity of the basis, and if those change, it will change. Just as "eye consciousness" is shown by the basis itself. Although it acts on things and individual things, even so, the consciousness that depends on the senses and the senses is shown by the basis and becomes direct perception. Just as from the sound of the drum to the sprout of barley, it is shown by a unique cause, it is seen. If you think so, this is different from the previous one, because there, by showing the object of consciousness with "consciousness of form" etc., the difference between the six consciousnesses will not be shown. Because mind consciousness dwells in one object together with eye consciousness etc. If, like this, the six consciousnesses such as blue are called consciousness, then, is this consciousness born from a colored sense or from mind? In this way, the hopeful consciousness becomes mind. If it is shown by the basis, then even if mind consciousness acts on the object of eye consciousness etc., the difference between each other can be established. Here, because we want to state the definition of valid cognition, merely being free from conceptualization is accepted as direct perception, because we want to clearly distinguish this from conceptualization. There is no need to show it with a unique cause. Joining the number of valid cognitions, because it is the freedom of the other of the object of measurement, merely following the aspect of the object of measurement, one can find one's own self-nature, and in order to establish one's own self-nature such as valid cognition, there is no need to show it with the senses at all, so the aspect

It is appropriate to indicate only by the basis in all places. If someone says that because the sound of "manifest" is very famous in the world for the meaning one wants to express, and the sound of "separate meanings" is not famous, therefore one relies on explaining specifically only by the basis: it should be explained that the sound of "manifest" is famous in the world, but how it is in the world is just as we have said. If one abandons how worldly meaning exists and explains it separately, then the very famous sound will also be abandoned. Therefore, the term "manifest" will not change in that way. Because there is no meaning of repetition, a single eye consciousness with the basis of a single moment of sense faculty will also not be manifest itself, and if each one does not have manifest itself, then it will not be for the many either. Because it has been promised that non-conceptual wisdom itself is manifest itself, and it also does not make worldly expressions, and because one wants to explain the worldly terms of valid cognition and object of valid cognition, considering manifest cognition as valid cognition becomes meaningless. Eye consciousness has knowledge of blue, but the scripture that says "it is not thinking 'it is blue'" is also not in the context of stating the meaning of the characteristic of manifest cognition, and because it is precisely showing that the five sense consciousnesses are foolish. Because the scripture also says that only non-conceptual consciousness is not manifest itself, this is not reasonable. Therefore, if whether it is the defining characteristic, self-characteristic, or general characteristic, exists in the world, then because everything should be manifestly perceived, it is not hidden, therefore it is established as manifest itself together with the consciousness of its object. Two moons, etc., are not manifest themselves in relation to consciousness without cataracts, but in relation to those with cataracts, etc., it is only manifest itself. The consciousness that arises from an infallible cause, with a hidden object as its object, which needs to be proven, is inference. Having manifestly known and trusted the meaning that transcends the senses
