An unskilled person sometimes introduces reasons, thereby destroying it due to irrationality. I am skilled in establishing conventional truth, therefore, merely staying on the worldly side, the reason set forth to exclude one side of the conventional is refuted by other reasons, just like the elders of the world. You only refute those who have fallen away from worldly dharma, not the conventional truth. Therefore, if it is in worldly terms, then, like the definition, it must undoubtedly become the defined, therefore, it will become the same fault. However, if it is in ultimate truth, then, since there is no defined, therefore there are no two definitions, how can it become two valid cognitions? If you say that for sounds etc., you do not acknowledge the distinction of having precedence like the relationship between action and agent, this is very difficult. You only use those sounds that are closely related to the relationship between action and agent to express, and you also do not want the meaning of sounds such as action and agent, alas, you only rely on intention. When two objects of measurement do not exist like that, scriptures etc. are not objects of the definition of self-character and general character, therefore it is not another valid cognition. Furthermore, like "the vase is manifest" etc., since it does not include worldly terms, and acknowledges the terms of non-Aryas, it will become an unpervasive definition, therefore, this is unreasonable. If you think that the proximate cause of the vase, blue etc., is completely determined by manifest valid cognition, therefore it is manifest, therefore, just like establishing the result on the cause, saying "Buddhas are the origin of happiness", similarly, the vase whose cause is blue etc. becoming manifest is also establishing the cause on the result, and is said to be manifest. Then, for such an object, the establishment is unreasonable, because in the world, arising is considered different from happiness, and that is also the nature of the definition of conditioned phenomena.

Because it is the cause of many hundreds of hardships, it is not happiness. If it is called happiness, it is irrelevant, and if it is appropriate to apply happiness to such an object. But here, in the case of "the direct perception of a pot," after what kind of analysis does the pot become a direct perception? It is not like observing a separate pot that is not a direct perception. If it is said that because there is no pot different from blue, etc., it becomes a designated direct perception, even then, it should not be overly designated, because there is no basis for designation. It is not reasonable to designate sharpness on a donkey's horn. Furthermore, if, because the pot, which is part of worldly convention, is not different from blue, etc., it is understood as a designated direct perception, then blue, etc., are also not different from earth, etc., so blue, etc., should also be understood as designated direct perceptions. As it is said: Just as there is no pot apart from form, etc., similarly, there is no wind, etc., apart from form. Therefore, such worldly conventions are not all-encompassing because they are not included in the definition. From the perspective of observing reality, pots, etc., and blue, etc., are not considered direct perceptions. In worldly convention, pots, etc., should only be accepted as direct perceptions. As it is said in the Four Hundred Verses: When seeing form, one does not see all pots; who says that is the direct perception of a pot? With this analysis, the wise should individually refute all sweetness, fragrance, and softness. So it is said. Furthermore, the sound of direct perception is used to express the meaning of what is not hidden, so the meaning of the senses turning manifest is direct perception. From what is said here, "the senses turning manifest," pots and blue, etc., which are not hidden, will be established as direct perceptions. And the wisdom that cuts it off is like a fire of grass and straw.
