Because of the purity of their nature, there is nothing incomplete in terms of causes and conditions. When connecting to that and that place of birth, in the mother's womb, from the seed consciousness, the sprout of name and form produced by karma and afflictions manifests. Regarding this, one should observe the five internal dependent originations. What are the five? Not permanent, not annihilation, not transference, a great result arises from a small cause, and a continuum similar to it. How is it not permanent? Because the final aggregates of death are different, and the aggregates belonging to birth are also different. What are the final aggregates of death, those are not the ones belonging to birth. The final aggregates of death also cease, and at that time the aggregates belonging to birth arise, therefore it is not permanent. How is it not annihilation? The aggregates at the time of final death do not arise from the previous cessation of the aggregates belonging to birth, nor do they arise from non-cessation. The final aggregates of death also cease, and at that time the aggregates belonging to birth arise like the high and low of a balance, therefore it is also not annihilation. How is it not transference? Sentient beings of different kinds do not manifest birth in a birth with equal fortune. Therefore, it is also not transference. How does a great result arise from a small cause? Having done a small action, one experiences the fully ripened great result, therefore it is from a small cause that a great result arises. How does one experience the karma that will be experienced, just as one experiences the fully ripened result that will be experienced, therefore, it is like the extensively proclaimed "continuum similar to it." In Acharya Chandrakirti's Clear Words, the commentary on the twenty-sixth chapter called "Examination of the Twelve Limbs of Dependent Origination." Whoever truly sees how such dependent origination arises does not rely on the previous extreme, nor does he rely on the later extreme, as quoted in the sutra. Regarding this,
