If there is no Sangha, since there are no Noble Truths, there is also no Holy Dharma. If there is no Dharma and Sangha, how can there be a Buddha? If at that time, such as the complete knowledge of suffering, etc., are absent, then because of that absence, the fruits of Stream-enterer, Once-returner, Non-returner, and Arhat are all unreasonable. Why? Here, the name of fruit is obtained by the aggregation of the abandonment of all defilements. For example, by abandoning the three bonds, whatever abandonment of defilements there is on the path of sixteen moments, such as subsequent knowledge, that is the fruit of Stream-enterer. The defilements that are practiced in the desire realm, those that should be abandoned by cultivation, among their aspects of great, medium, and small, each one is divided by the distinction of great, medium, and small, and they become nine aspects. Among them, because the sixth aspect that is practiced in the desire realm is exhausted, whatever is abandoned on the path of liberation, that is the fruit of Once-returner. Because the ninth aspect of those defilements that are practiced in the desire realm is exhausted, whatever is abandoned on the path of liberation, that is the fruit of Non-returner. The defilements that are practiced in the form and formless realms, those that should be abandoned by cultivation, among those that are divided by the distinction of nine aspects in each realm, because the nine aspects of the defilements of the realm of neither perception nor non-perception are exhausted, whatever is abandoned on the path of liberation, that is called the fruit of Arhat. These are the four fruits. How are these reasonable? If there is complete knowledge of suffering, and the arising is abandoned, and cessation is realized, and the path is cultivated, then at what time, because the Noble Truths such as suffering are all absent, when there is no complete knowledge of suffering, etc., then those four fruits are not present. If those four fruits are absent, then those who abide in them, the four noble individuals who abide in the fruits, are also not present. Therefore, the four Stream-enterers are also not present. Here, in a moment

The sixteenth, what are the fifteen moments of knowledge and forbearance that precede the subsequent knowledge of the path? Like this, when realizing the suffering of the three realms, there are four moments of forbearance and knowledge that focus on suffering. So, what are the four moments of forbearance and knowledge at the time of realizing the suffering of the three realms? Like this, the suffering that is practiced in the desire realm is the antidote to the ten latent tendencies that are to be abandoned by seeing: the view of the perishable aggregate, the extreme view, the wrong view, the view of holding views as supreme, the view of holding ethics and asceticism as supreme, doubt, desire, anger, pride, and ignorance. It arises in the aspects of impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness. Focusing on the truth of suffering that is practiced in the desire realm, it has the characteristic of the uninterrupted path. The moment of forbearance of the knowledge of the Dharma of suffering is one. Possessing the same object and aspect, the moment of the knowledge of the Dharma of suffering, which has the characteristic of the path of liberation, is the second. Similarly, focusing on the suffering that is practiced in the form and formless realms, except for anger, it is the antidote to the eighteen latent tendencies just mentioned. It arises in the aspects of suffering and so on, and has the characteristic of the uninterrupted path. The moment of forbearance of the knowledge of the subsequent suffering is the third. Possessing the same object and aspect, it has the characteristic of the path of liberation. The moment of forbearance of the knowledge of the subsequent suffering is the fourth. Realizing the truth of suffering that is practiced in the three realms, and the four moments of forbearance and knowledge, just like that, the origin that is practiced in the desire realm is the antidote to the seven latent tendencies that are to be abandoned by seeing: the wrong view, the view of holding views as supreme, doubt, desire, anger, pride, and ignorance. It arises in the aspects of cause, origin, arising, and condition. Focusing on the truth of the origin that is practiced in the desire realm, it has the characteristic of the uninterrupted path of the origin.
