That is suffering. All conditioned phenomena are also impermanent. Therefore, regarding the five aggregates, which are of the nature of suffering, to mistakenly perceive them as happiness is another kind of reversal. Similarly, With the seed of the union of semen and blood, Nourished by excrement and urine, Clearly knowing its nature is impure, What desire makes one attached to it? Thus, constantly this body is impure in all its own nature, yet out of ignorance, one clings to its purity, that is a reversal. Similarly, the five aggregates do not conform to the characteristic of self, because they are impermanent, and because they are of the nature of arising and ceasing. Clearly they are without self and empty of the nature of self, yet constantly clinging to it, that is the reversal of apprehending self in what is without self. Thus, these four reversals are the cause of delusion. Now, here this should be analyzed: If clinging to permanence in the aggregates that are empty of permanence is wrong, is a reversal, thus establishing it, then, are the aggregates that are empty of inherent existence also without impermanence? Therefore, In emptiness, there is no impermanence, How can clinging be a reversal? Thus, if permanence is established as a reversal in reliance on non-reversed impermanence, then when there is no impermanence in emptiness, because there is no impermanence, how can permanence, which is contrary to it, become a reversal? Therefore, there is no reversal. Just as there is no impermanence in emptiness that is devoid of inherent existence and not born from inherent existence, so too there is no suffering, no impurity, and no selflessness. When there is no suffering and so forth because of emptiness of inherent existence, then how can permanence, happiness, purity, and self, which are contrary to them, become reversed views? Therefore, reversal is empty of inherent existence. Because it does not exist, how can ignorance exist? Because there is no cause. As the Bhagavan said: Ignorance and whatever arises conditioned by ignorance, when they exist, it is impossible for them to exist.

Yes. Is ignorance not present in the world? Therefore, I say this is ignorance. Similarly. World Honored One, how are the words of the ignorance dharani? The World Honored One said: Manjushri, ignorance is utterly liberated, therefore it is called ignorance. Thus, and so on. Furthermore, if because of its unreality, the perception of permanence in impermanence is established as inverted. If so, then the perception that things are impermanent when they are not inherently existent is also non-existent, so why is this not established as inverted? To show this: If one grasps permanence in impermanence, such grasping is inverted, how is grasping impermanence in emptiness not inverted? Thus it is said. When both permanence and impermanence are inverted. When does it become non-inverted? There is nothing other than these three. When non-inversion is non-existent, in relation to what does it become inverted? Therefore, by this reasoning, inversion is also non-existent. Because of its absence, there is no ignorance. Just as the perception of permanence in impermanence does not become inverted, so too should it be applied to the remaining non-existent inversions. Therefore, in the Sutra Requested by Arya Steadfast Intention, the World Honored One said: Son of good family, whoever seeks the definite emergence of the path is thus. Son of good family, the Tathagata has not said that he has abandoned desire by abandoning the dharmas that cause attachment. Similarly, having abandoned the dharmas that cause anger and ignorance, the Tathagata has not said that he has abandoned anger and ignorance. Why is that? Son of good family, the Tathagata does not teach the Dharma for the sake of abandoning or attaining any Dharma. To be fully known, to be fully abandoned, to be cultivated, to be realized, to be directly perceived, to be liberated from samsara, to be...

The Dharma is not taught for the sake of abandoning, for the sake of eliminating, for the sake of abiding, or for the sake of distinguishing. Son of good family, duality is not the nature of the Tathagatas. Those who engage in duality are not those who have entered the right path. Son of good family, what are the two? 'I shall abandon desire,' this is duality. 'I shall abandon hatred,' this is duality. 'I shall abandon delusion,' this is duality. Those who engage in such practices are not those who have entered the right path; they should be known as those who have entered the wrong path. Son of good family, for example, when someone watches a magician's performance, they see a woman conjured by the magician and develop a mind of desire. Entangled by desire, they fear being seen by others and feel ashamed. They rise from their seat and leave. After leaving, they think of the woman as impure, contemplating impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness. Son of good family, what do you think? Is this person entering the right path or the wrong path? They replied, "Bhagavan, for someone who thinks of impurity towards a non-existent woman, and contemplates impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness, that person's effort is wrong." The Bhagavan said, "Son of good family, here, some monks, nuns, laymen, and laywomen think of impurity towards phenomena that have not arisen and have not occurred, and contemplate impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness. They should also be regarded in the same way. I do not say that those foolish people are practicing the path; they are called those who have entered the wrong path. Son of good family, for example, if someone dreams that the king's consort comes to their house and sleeps with them. Because of losing mindfulness, they think that they have awakened, and think that the king has not noticed, and that he will come to kill them, so they are afraid and run away. What do you think? Is this person
