Those things that exist, because they have been established as arising, cannot be found as examples even in terminology, which is also unreasonable. Because you have already admitted that things like images, which have no substance, have causes. As the teacher said: 'Whatever arises from a cause, whatever does not exist when that does not exist, they are like images, how can they appear like fire?' Therefore, how can there be no examples in terminology? If someone says again that whatever thing cannot be said to be itself or different from it, then it does not exist even in the conventional. Then, it should be said that blue and so on also do not exist. As it is said: 'Because the thing of color is only a name, space is also only a name. Without arising, how can there be color? Therefore, it is also only a name.' Furthermore, for whatever difference in state that causes change, how can things have their own nature for the Madhyamikas? Therefore, it is unreasonable to say that there is no example. If someone says again that destruction is not with a cause, because it does not have the nature of destruction, like unconditioned things. Then, for the person who says that, this reason will lead to a great contradiction. Just as this reason establishes that destruction has no cause, it also establishes that it is not the nature of composition. Similarly, everything included in the aggregates of composition, and included in the limbs of dependent origination, will also be contradictory, so this is unreasonable. Similarly, consciousness is not completely cutting off the self-nature of the object, because it does not have consciousness, like unconditioned things, because everything is blocked by such means, a great displeasure will be established, so this should not be accepted. Now, in order to show how arising and destruction are not established together. How can arising and destruction be together? Birth and death at the same time, do not exist. It is said like this. If arising and destruction exist together, then at that time birth and

If the entity and time are the same, then existence is also impossible. Therefore, it is also impossible for arising and ceasing to be established simultaneously. If birth and death are not established as the same nature or different natures, even so, arising and ceasing exist, because they can be spoken of, like consciousness. If you think like that, it can be said. If you think that they are established merely because they can be spoken of, then the son of a barren woman should also be accepted. Furthermore, those things that are not mutually simultaneous or mutually non-simultaneous, it is impossible to be established, how can those things be established? There is no other way for arising and ceasing to be established except for being simultaneous and non-simultaneous. If you think that they are established in an unspeakable way, then what is this "unspeakable"? If it is mixed, that is unreasonable, because there is no mixture for things that are not separately established. If you think that unspeakable means the nature of being ungraspable, then, because it is its own nature of being ungraspable, like the blue and white of the son of a barren woman, arising and ceasing do not exist. When arising and ceasing do not exist in that way, it is established that their cause, time, also does not exist. Furthermore, here, if you contemplate arising and ceasing, are you contemplating the nature of things being exhausted, or the nature of things being unexhausted? In order to show that either way is unreasonable, it is said: "There is no arising for exhausted things, and there is no arising for unexhausted things. There is no ceasing for exhausted things, and there is no ceasing for unexhausted things." What is said here is that for exhausted things, that is, the nature of things being exhausted, because there are contradictory dharmas, arising is unreasonable. For unexhausted things that do not possess the characteristics of things, arising is also unreasonable, like a rabbit's horn. Similarly, exhausted things do not have ceasing, because things of the nature of exhaustion do not exist, because there is no basis for it, so ceasing is unreasonable. Similarly, unexhausted things also do not have ceasing, because things of the nature of unexhaustion are
