Because for things that do not exist, birth or destruction is not seen. Therefore, if one considers the result to be empty, it would also lead to non-birth and non-cessation. Furthermore, if a certain cause produces a result, is it produced by something different from the result, or something not different? Either way is unreasonable. It is said: Cause and result becoming one, will never be reasonable. Cause and result becoming different, will never be reasonable. This is merely a proposition, how is it established? To explain, it is said: If cause and result are one, the produced and the producer will become one. If cause and result are different, cause and non-cause will be the same. If cause and result are one, then the produced and the producer would be admitted to be the same, but these two are not the same, because father and son, eye and eye consciousness, etc., would also become one. In that case, for the time being, there is no oneness between cause and result. Now there is also no difference, why? If cause and result are different, then because it does not depend on others, the result will become independent of the cause, but this is not the case, therefore there is also no difference between cause and result. For those who analyze in this way, those things that have neither self-nature nor other-nature are never things that are produced and can be produced, therefore the cause does not produce the result. Furthermore, if the cause produces the result, does it produce a result that exists in its essence, or a result that does not exist? What would happen then? Either way is unreasonable, it is said: If the result exists in its essence, what will the cause produce? If the result does not exist in its essence, what will the cause produce? For those results that exist in their essence, that possess self-nature, it will not be produced again, because it exists, like an existing pot. For those results that do not exist in their essence, the cause will also produce

It is not, because the entity does not exist, like the horns of a donkey. If it is said that the image itself is uncertain, then it will become uncertain, but things are proven to be without inherent existence. Therefore, the assertion of inherent existence will be abandoned, and we will merely be following what others say. Since no things possess inherent existence, there is no opposite, so things also do not exist as without inherent existence, so how could it become uncertain? As we see it, an image is neither with inherent existence nor without inherent existence, because if the subject does not exist, then its qualities also do not exist. The noble ones do not see the so-called image as slightly with or without inherent existence. Previously, with the two verses such as "Fruits do not arise in vain," it was directly negated that the fruit is the agent of production. It should be known that the difference between this and the previous one is that it negates that the cause is the agent of the complete combination of the action of producing the fruit. Here it is said: If it is also negated that the cause is the agent of the complete combination of the action of producing the fruit, even so, for the time being, the cause exists by its own nature, and if there is no fruit, then the causality of the cause will not be established, therefore the fruit will also exist. It is to be said that if it is not a producer, but is still a cause, then as a cause, if it is not a producer, the causality is not reasonable. If the causality of the cause does not exist, even so, the fruit exists for the time being, and without a cause, the fruit is also not reasonable, therefore because the fruit exists, the cause will also exist, if you think so, it is to be said that when it is said that it does not produce, the causality of the cause does not exist, at that time, if the causality does not reasonably exist, whose fruit will it be? Therefore, the fruit also does not exist. Here it is said: Merely the cause is not the agent of the complete combination of the action of producing the fruit,
