One cannot realize the nature of the earth as it is by not seeing its own nature. What is it then? From the manifestation without cataracts, one can only realize that "this is inverted." When the eye medicine that removes cataracts is applied and the cataracts disappear, one realizes the nature of hair and so on in the same way that one cannot realize its own nature. Similarly, the noble ones show the ultimate truth through imputation, but even so, those who are not noble ones cannot realize its own nature. When the eye of wisdom is anointed with the eye medicine that removes the cataracts of ignorance by seeing emptiness without inversion, when the wisdom of the ultimate truth arises, then one realizes the ultimate truth by oneself in a way that one cannot realize it. Therefore, the own nature of things is not known from elsewhere, that is the ultimate truth. That is the nature of peace, just as one cannot see hair without cataracts, it means to be free from nature. Therefore, it is not elaborated by elaborations. Elaboration is speech, because it develops meanings. Not elaborated by elaborations means not expressed by words. It is also non-conceptual, and conceptualization is the movement of the mind, because it is free from it, the ultimate truth is non-conceptual. As it is said in the sutra: What is the ultimate truth? If there is no movement of the mind, what need is there to look at letters? Thus, it is non-conceptual. Because there are different meanings to this. With different meanings, that is, different meanings. No different meaning is no different meaning, that is, the meaning of not being different. As it is said in the Arya Two Truths Sutra: The son of the gods said: Manjushri, what is the union of the ultimate truth? Manjushri said: Sons of the gods, in the ultimate truth, suchness and the realm of dharma, and whatever is never born, wherever they are the same, in the ultimate truth, the uninterrupted (hells) are also the same.

Where the uninterrupted are the same in ultimate reality, there the views are also the same. Where the views are the same, there the dharmas of ordinary beings are also the same. Where the dharmas of ordinary beings are the same, there the dharmas of learners are also the same. Where the dharmas of learners are the same, there the dharmas of non-learners are also the same. Where the dharmas of non-learners are the same, there the dharmas of perfectly complete Buddhas are also the same. Where the dharmas of perfectly complete Buddhas are the same, there nirvana is also the same. Where nirvana is the same, there samsara is also the same. Where samsara is the same in ultimate reality, there all afflictions are also the same in ultimate reality. Where all afflictions are the same in ultimate reality, there purification is also the same in ultimate reality. Where purification is the same in ultimate reality, there all dharmas are also the same. Son of the gods, a bhikshu who truly applies himself to the equality of all dharmas is called one who truly applies himself, and it is not as it is said. The son of the gods said: Where is equality in ultimate reality, and what is the equality between purification and so forth, where all dharmas are also called equal in ultimate reality? Manjushri said: In ultimate reality, all dharmas are equal in being unborn, and in ultimate reality, all dharmas are equal in being unarisen, and in ultimate reality, all dharmas are equal in being eternally unborn, and in ultimate reality, all dharmas are equal in being without substance. Son of the gods, in ultimate reality, all dharmas are the same. Why is that? Son of the gods, in ultimate reality, taking the eternally unborn as the basis, there is no difference in all dharmas. Son of the gods, for example, the space inside an earthenware vessel and the space inside a jewel vessel, these two are the very realm of space, and in ultimate reality, there is not the slightest difference between them. Son of the gods, likewise, in ultimate reality, whatever is completely afflicted is the very unborn. Whatever is purified is also the very unborn in ultimate reality. In ultimate reality, samsara is also the very unborn. In ultimate reality, nirvana is
