It is false, because they did not see it that way. For some who have long been accustomed to observing reality, but have not yet completely eliminated subtle obscurations, it is pointed out that these are neither correct nor incorrect. In order to eliminate these subtle obscurations, just as the blue and white clothes of a widow's son are forbidden, both of these colors are forbidden. This is what the Buddha Bhagavan taught, turning away from the wrong path and leading to the right path, this is teaching. Teaching gradually like this is following the teaching. Or, teaching in accordance with the capacity of those to be tamed is following the teaching. All the teachings taught by the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, are entirely methods for entering the nectar of reality. The Tathagatas do not speak words that are not methods for entering the nectar of reality, just as prescribing corresponding medicines according to the disease, in order to receive those to be tamed, they teach according to their capacity. As it is said in the *Śataśāstra*: 'Existence and non-existence, and both existence and non-existence, have also been taught. Due to the power of illness, are all medicines not called medicine?' Thus it is said. What are the characteristics of the reality to which these teachings are taught in order to enter? It is the opposite of what can be spoken, and it is also the opposite of the realm of the mind. We have already said these things. When it is like this, what else is there to ask? Even so, however, according to worldly conventions, assuming on the level of conventional truth, its characteristics must also be explained. Then, it should be explained: 'Not known from others, peaceful, all elaborations are extinguished, without distinctions, meanings are different, that is the characteristic of thatness.' Among them, because it does not have the characteristic of being known from others, it is not known from others, it is not understood through the instruction of others, but should be understood by oneself, that is its meaning. Just as when those with cataracts see the nature of hair and other things upside down, even if those without cataracts have pointed it out, but seeing hair and other things like those without cataracts...
