Now, connecting the connecting words and concluding words that are close together in order. Here, like a garment made of tortoise hair, that which does not exist is not the cause of making the three times manifest, so it does not exist. Like a lamp that makes a vase manifest, that is the only thing that exists. Similarly, the nature of things is also the cause of making the three times manifest, so it is also the only thing that exists, they say. This is to say that in the treatises of the Vaisheshika and others who assert the existence of time, the so-called knowledge of time is a meaning of words that is different from the nature of things and is always present. The function of the nature of things, through the distinction of the states of what has already passed, what has not yet come, and what is now entering, makes it clear that this is the past time, this is the future time, and this is the present time. Therefore, time is also a meaning of words that is different from the nature of things and is always present. The nature of things is also the cause of making the three times manifest, and because it has function, it is the only thing that exists, this is their treatise. In order to show that time is without self-nature by refuting the aspects that contradict emptiness, therefore, in response to their saying that, the commentary itself makes the answer. Here it is said that the arising of those formations that belong to the category of terms is called function. That is also the arising of the nature of things, therefore, those things themselves, from the point of view of using and not using cause and effect, are called past, future, and present time. Therefore, in terms of convention, it is acknowledged that only the function that completely cuts off other functions is the knowledge of time. For example, it is like coming and saying "Lewo Glakso" after just seasoning with salt. What is said here is that in the treatises of the Buddhists, even in conventional terms, the nature of things does not have a function that is established as a substance, and apart from the nature of things, there is no so-called time, that is, a constantly existing meaning of words that is different from the nature of things. Therefore, the nature of things is not the cause of making the three times manifest.

Sa. It shows that the vows and proofs of the outsiders are not established. How is that? In the Buddhist scriptures, the five aggregates of phenomena belonging to the category of terms, the birth that arises from those that have not arisen before is called action. The action of arising is the nature of things, arising from causes and conditions as mere illusions. Apart from that, there is no substance. If both cause and effect have been used, then it is called the past; if both have not been used, then it is called the future. If the cause has been used but the effect has not, or if both cause and effect are acting like the two ends of a balance, then it is called the present time. Therefore, in terms of convention, the action of arising, the nature of things arising, is what completely cuts off and eliminates other actions. It is admitted that time is known. For example, the action that arises from the mere milking of a cow is what cuts off other actions, and time is designated as such. It is expressed only by the action of that moment. For example, merely reading a chapter is what cuts off other actions, and it is designated as time. Apart from that, there is no action that is different from things, and there is no time. Therefore, the nature of things is the cause of clarifying the three times. Therefore, the vows and proofs of the outsiders are not established even in terms of convention. It is shown that it is not established in the Buddhist side. In terms of ultimate truth, how it is unreasonable should be examined. In terms of ultimate truth, there is no other action of arising in the nature of things, and there is no other meaning of the word time from things, and there is no permanence. Therefore, the vows and proofs of the outsiders should be examined how it is unreasonable. It shows what should be examined. Here, those who say that time exists say that time is different from conditioned things and is permanent. This shows the addition of the outsider's doctrine. Here, in the scriptures of the Vaibhashika and others who say that time exists, time is different from conditioned things, and the meaning of the word is permanent. things
