That commentary, "The Lamp of Wisdom," accomplishes the principle of the supreme Mahayana, eliminates the stains of evil views, clearly shows subsequent inference and refutation, and solely elucidates that. The venerable teacher Lekdenjé (Legs ldan byed), who attained the supreme state of the noble Avalokiteśvara, crossed the ocean of tenets of self and others, and went to the special place of vidyādhara siddhas. Composed by the one who vowed to walk to Vajrasana in this very life, a vast commentary, the Mahayana Madhyamaka teacher, who came from the place of Saketa. He was of the Brahmin caste, like a great sala tree, and mastered all fields of knowledge. He was expert in all tenets of self and others, and this was completed by the Avalokiteśvara ascetic. By the decree of the great king, the glorious Lhatsenpo, the lord of the holy empowerment. Translated and revised by the Indian abbot, the Mahayana Madhyamaka Jñānagarbha, and the Tibetan revising translator, the monk Chokro Luyi Gyaltsen (Cog ro Klu'i rgyal mtshan), and thus established. This has twenty-seven chapters. There are twenty-four thousand shlokas. It is divided into eighty volumes. Vast Commentary on the Lamp of Wisdom, Avalokiteśvara Ascetic.
