If what you Madhyamikas want to establish is already established, then establishing it is meaningless, that is true. But if it is not established, then it is not truly to be established, because it is not established. For example, like the roundness of a rabbit's horn, it is not right to say that. Why? Because what is to be established is not established. If you say that what is not established for both oneself and the other is not to be established, then it is establishing what is already established. Because on our side, what is to be established is not established for both oneself and the other, and it is already established that it is not to be established. But if you say that what is not established for others is not to be established, then you have no example. Like your example, like the roundness of a rabbit's horn. Because where there is no rabbit's horn, your dharma to be established is not established. Because the absence of a rabbit's horn is established for others as well, so it is not unestablished. Therefore, your example, like the roundness of a rabbit's horn, the dharma to be established is not established, so your example does not match the dharma to be established, so it cannot be used as an example. Furthermore, if you say that what is not established for others is not to be established, then the meaning of your reason is also not established. Like your reason is not established, it is not right to say that. Because the absence of the roundness of a rabbit's horn is also established for others, so it is not right to say that your reason is not established. Therefore, what is not established for others is to be established, so the characteristic of the proposition is truly real. Therefore, valid cognitions also truly have essence. Like these, all things also truly have essence, and it is established. Therefore, the inferences you have shown in all treatises are also uncertain. That's what they say. In order to answer what is said, here is the explanation. Because the reason is stated generally, and the example also generally follows.

In order to teach beings, and in order to prevent what is not established in others, it is not an establishment for what is established, and it is not without example and reason, thus it is said. The Madhyamaka school, because of generally stating the reason, is not an establishment for what is established, like this, I am not going to establish what is not established for myself and both, or I am not going to establish what is not established for others, thus without distinguishing specifically, generally saying that what is not established is not to be established, because of generally stating the reason, it is not an establishment for what is established. The Madhyamaka school also generally uses examples to teach the following of the reason, so it is not without examples, like this, our example is like the roundness of a rabbit's horn, because the existence of that roundness is not established, that is not to be established, because it teaches the following of the reason in oneself, others, and both, so the example has the quality of establishment, therefore it is not without examples. The Madhyamaka school, because it prevents the establishment of what is not established in others, it is not without reason, like this, the Madhyamaka's reason is not established, so that which is to be established, which is not established in others, is also not established, so it is not to be established, if it is not established itself, then it is not a reason to be established, because it teaches such a reason, so it is not without reason. Therefore, what is to be established is generally not established, just like the roundness of a rabbit's horn is not to be established, so the nature of the proposition is not the ultimate truth, and other valid cognitions are also not established in the same way, just like those, all things are also not established, so the inference that I teach in all treatises is also not uncertain, thus it is taught. If what is to be established is established like action and taming

Just as one tames without distinguishing whether the one to be tamed has been tamed or not, similarly, one does not need to distinguish whether what is to be proven has been proven or not, and what is to be proven can be established. This is what is meant by saying, "It is established." To this, the commentator here says, "This is not an answer, because the refutation and examination are the same, and it has already been answered." The opponents say, "That statement is not an answer to my statement that what is to be proven, whether proven or not, is not what is to be proven. Like this, what is the action? Is it done or not done? What is the taming? Is it tamed or not tamed?" This refutation and examination are the same as the previous statement, "What is to be proven, is it proven or not proven?" And the answer has already been given to that: "If it is proven, then proving it is meaningless. If it is not proven, then in reality it is not what is to be proven, because it is not proven. For example, like the roundness of a rabbit's horn." Here too, "If it is done and tamed, then doing and taming are meaningless. If it is not done and not tamed, then in reality it is not what is to be done and tamed, because it is not done and not tamed. For example, apply it like the roundness of a rabbit's horn." If one says, "It is not that it is not an answer, because it is the meaning of ability," then the opponents say, "What we say, like doing and taming, that what is to be proven can be established, is not without an answer. Like this, done and not done, tamed and not tamed, although they are not what is to be done and tamed, but the act of doing and taming is the meaning of ability, so it is like what is to be done and tamed."
