It is unreasonable to establish the tenet that 'all objects of perception are completely pacified' solely through the three natures. Why? Because in ultimate reality, the snake is not substantially existent, and it does not arise from its own nature. This is because, through the mode of dependent origination, all phenomena are inherently devoid of self-nature in ultimate reality, and therefore, it is in the manner of all objects of perception becoming completely pacified. Thus, if Yogācārins were to say, even conventionally, 'there is no snake on the coiled rope,' they would want to avoid the harm of reputation. If they were to eliminate phenomena in ultimate reality, they would be following the tenets of the Madhyamikas. Therefore, from their own established tenets, the doctrine that 'all objects of perception are completely pacified' is achieved solely through the three natures would be undermined, and that is also not reasonable. If the thought of a rope and a snake arises only when one does not focus on the rope and the coiled snake, then it is not well-established to make it known to others and oneself. Yogācārins say that external objects such as ropes and snakes do not exist conventionally, but mistaken thoughts arise in that way. If, conventionally, objects such as ropes and coiled snakes do not exist, then how could thoughts of ropes and snakes arise merely from not focusing on them? If they do arise, then the thought of mistaking a rope for a snake is the nature of the completely imputed. Therefore, the example taken from the rope to understand the nature of the completely imputed is not well-established for the Yogācārins themselves, showing that it is unreasonable to be without objects. Why? Because if external objects such as ropes and coiled snakes do not exist, then the thoughts of ropes and snakes would not arise either. Therefore, the example used to understand that 'the nature of the completely imputed is like the thought of mistaking a rope for a coiled snake' is not well-established for oneself, and therefore it is unreasonable. Thus, Yogācārins believe that without external objects, internal thoughts are confused and differentiated, and this differentiation is the nature of the completely imputed. However, this example is also not well-established for themselves, and therefore it is also not reasonable. Here, if the Yogācārins were to say this:

We ourselves do not establish the existence of external objects, so there is no example to know, but in your Madhyamaka school, it is established in conventional truth that the object of external objects exists like an illusion, and the example that we can know is that the nature of what we impute is like the mind that arises from mistaking a rope for a snake, and the example of knowing is extremely untenable. Because the reason is not established for oneself, it can also show the desired meaning, because it is established in the other party, just like the dharma that is common to both parties. After finishing speaking, the above debate was drawn from the other party's mouth, and in order to answer it, an explanation is given here that whatever is not established in either party is not a reason, and for this point, in the time of names, it should be admitted that the knower is common to both parties, as has been previously explained. Previously, when examining the self and phenomena, it was determined that the dharma of the party that is only common to the other party cannot establish the meaning to be established. Because it is not established in either party. Just like it is not established in the other party. Because it is rejected by contradictory inference, the meaning of the reason itself is not lost, as has been explained. Those who want to show that the meaning of what is imputed does not exist, should accept the teacher's teachings with the reasonable Madhyamaka style, and only by stopping the nature of what is said can the speech of mind and words enter that realm and cease. Therefore, those who want to show that the meaning of what is imputed does not exist, the teacher's face previously said when examining the self and phenomena, "Because what is said ceases, because the object of mind ceases, unborn and unceasing, the nature of phenomena is the same as nirvana," etc., should accept the reasonable Madhyamaka style. Among them, it is said, "Liberation is attained because karma and afflictions are exhausted, karma and afflictions arise from discrimination, those elaborations arise from elaboration, emptiness causes cessation," elaboration is the nature of what is imputed, and the reason why emptiness causes cessation is that what is said ceases.
