The term "So" indicates the specific explanation of the word "Guna" (merit). Furthermore, if one claims emptiness, it will turn into a fault that harms worldly results, non-virtue, virtue, and all terms. To illustrate this, it is said, "The existence of results, non-dharma and dharma-nature, worldly terms, are harmful to all." With phrases like "This is not desired," it is explained that if, according to the way you Madhyamikas explain it, everything is empty, then because there is no arising and ceasing, the Four Noble Truths of the noble ones, etc., would not exist. Other schools like us do not desire this, because it would fall into the faults mentioned above. These are the loopholes in your Madhyamikas' statements that things have no inherent nature. To explain the meaning of the occasion that other schools themselves desire by refuting the statements with loopholes. To refute falling into the faults mentioned above, if it is not emptiness, and arising and ceasing also exist, then it should be argued that inherent nature exists, and that it is the nature of arising and ceasing. The dharma to be argued is the existence of inherent nature, and the dharma to be proven is the nature of arising and ceasing, which is obvious. Such words are spoken because these are statements with loopholes. To illustrate this with an example. For example, if sound is permanent, then it will become uncreated, and the uncreated will become the object of conceptual thought, and if it is an object, it will not become created, through such words. To refute falling into the faults mentioned above, because impermanence has creation, sound is impermanent, because it is created. The dharma to be argued is impermanence, and the dharma to be proven is creation, which is obvious. Such words are spoken as it is. To illustrate the subsequent inference. The connecting words here are that, in the ultimate sense, things are only inherently existent, because they are the nature of arising and ceasing. Those things that do not have inherent nature will not have arising and ceasing.

It is like a flower in the sky. For things, there is arising from not arising, and destruction after arising, therefore, by the power of the reasons mentioned above, from the ultimate point of view, things are only self-existent. After saying this, combine these in order with the subject, the object to be proven, the means of proof, the example of the dissimilar, the near application, and the conclusion. Just like a flower in the sky, for what there is no arising and destruction, that is without self-nature; but things have arising and destruction, therefore, from the ultimate point of view, things are only self-existent. They say so. In short, these are the differences of the opposite side of emptiness, which can be combined with the tenets of the former proponents. Now, in order to show the selflessness of the noble truths by refuting the differences of the opposite side of emptiness, in response to what they said, here the author of the treatise himself says: To that, your explanation is that because you have not understood the need for emptiness, emptiness itself, and the meaning of emptiness, therefore you do harm in that way. Thus it is said. This is saying that you, who claim that things are self-existent, because you have not understood the need for emptiness, emptiness itself, and the meaning of emptiness, which are the tenets accepted by us Madhyamikas, therefore, if all these are empty, there is no arising, and no destruction, etc., saying this, and saying that there are no four noble truths, etc., like this, you harm the Mahayana, that although it is many, that although it is various, but that is not so, thus it is shown. Among them, first, in order to show the need for emptiness, here it is said that the need for emptiness is the nature of pacifying all elaborations. That is to say, obtaining nirvana, which is the nature of pacifying all elaborations, from realizing emptiness, that is the need for emptiness. In order to show emptiness, emptiness is the nature because it is free from all grasping, it is the wisdom that focuses on emptiness.

Having spoken the word "So," the wisdom arising from the meditation of yogis, in the manner of focusing on emptiness, that is, without focus, means that one's own nature, and all things are emptiness, and the term emptiness, these three focus on emptiness, which is emptiness. In order to explain the meaning of emptiness, it is said that "the meaning of emptiness is the nature of Suchness," meaning that ultimately, things are unborn, and this nature of Suchness is the meaning of emptiness. Now, because you do not understand these, therefore, if all these are empty, there will be no arising and no destruction. Saying such things and saying that the Four Noble Truths and so on do not exist, like this, causing harm to the Mahayana, is because the eye of wisdom is obscured by the great darkness of improper attention. To explain this, because you do not understand these, so you say: If all these are empty, there will be no arising and no destruction. Saying such things, for example, just like punching the sky, striking in various ways, causing harm in this way. Now, those whose eyes of wisdom are obscured by the great darkness of improper attention, not understanding the necessity of emptiness, emptiness, and the meaning of emptiness, causing harm to the Mahayana like punching the sky, that is not so. To explain that in this Mahayana, the Dharma taught by the Buddhas, the Bhagavan, is established in this way based on the two truths. In this Mahayana, the Dharma taught by the Buddhas completely relies on the two truths. What are those two? The conventional truth and the ultimate truth. Thus it is said. Among them, first, in order to explain the nature of worldly conventional truth. Among them, worldly convention is the worldly term, for example, form and other things arise, exist, and disappear, etc., Deva-given walks, all-pervading friend.
