Where are the perverted ones? The term "perverted one" is a synonym for having perversion. Therefore, having faults such as reasoning is the conclusion and the result of valid cognition. Moreover, by saying "also, others," it is explained that if the self and others truly exist, then knowing the self and others is not a perversion. Because the self and others do not truly exist, knowing the self and others is a perversion that conforms to samsara. To explain this very point, in truth: If the self and suffering, permanence and happiness exist, then knowing the self, knowing suffering, knowing permanence, and knowing happiness are not perversions. Because what is known is not a perversion, it is said that this is what is meant. Here, it is said that the sound of knowing the self and others is because it abides in the self and others, and therefore it is known as the self and others. Therefore, the sound of knowing the self and others means that the mind abiding in the realm of the self and others, clinging to the self and others, is the meaning of having perversion. Similarly, by saying "in the same way," it is explained that because the self and others do not truly exist, the self and others do not exist. Therefore, the perversion of clinging to the non-self as the self and others also does not exist. To explain this very point, in truth: If the self and suffering, permanence and happiness do not exist, then non-self, non-unpleasantness, impermanence, and suffering also do not exist. The nature of non-self and others is established by eliminating the self and others, or by relying on them, as non-self and others. Therefore, it is said that this is what is meant. Because non-self and others are not established, for whom would clinging to the self and others become a perversion? If it is not like this, then the perversion of mistaking trees for people also does not exist. That is to say, because the self and others do not truly exist, non-self and others also do not exist. Therefore, because non-self and others are established, there is no basis for clinging to the self and others, and therefore the perversions of clinging to the self and others also do not exist. Because perversion itself is not established.

The elimination of faults such as the lack of reason is called the conclusion and the result of valid cognition. Now, in order to show the benefit that all the afflictions of a yogi who understands the inverted as emptiness are pacified. So, for that yogi, since the inverted and non-inverted such as permanence and impermanence are not established, what merit will arise when the discrimination in them turns into error? As mentioned above, it is said because it is intended to show the fruit in the way it is shown: Thus, when the inverted ceases, ignorance also ceases. Because the cause of the inverted is also ignorance, when the inverted ceases, the cause of seeing self and so on as real, ignorance also ceases. When ignorance ceases, actions and so on also cease. Connecting the words to the phrase "actions and so on," they are actions, consciousness, name and form, the six sense sources, contact, feeling, craving, grasping, existence, birth, old age, and death, and so on. Therefore, thus realizing selflessness, the pacification of afflictions is accomplished, so it is said. If one says that there is self-nature, then are those afflictions in this side existent or non-existent? And so on, it is said that in the side that says that things have self-nature, are the afflictions also existent or non-existent? In this way, for discriminations, it shows that there is a handle for not abandoning afflictions. Among them, first, in order to show that one should not abandon what already exists. Therefore, what will happen? If some people's afflictions, which are inherently existent? For an existent person, even if one does not say "some people's," it can be known from the context, so it is said, which shows the addition of the opponent's treatise. Now, in order to show that for those, there is a handle for not abandoning afflictions. How will it be abandoned? How can it not be abandoned? Who will abandon what already exists? Because what already exists, its self-nature will not change, thus intending, thus it is said.
