So, let's examine what the meaning of this vow is, and now begin to speak. If it is said that knowing the eyes to be empty does not lead to liberation, then this is a re-establishment of what is already established, because liberation is attained through non-conceptual wisdom. Therefore, if the opponent's vow refers to the knowledge arising from the yogis' hearing and thinking, which is accompanied by conceptualization, and believes that knowing the eyes and so on to be empty does not lead to liberation, then this is a re-establishment of what is already established. Just as on our side, liberation is also attained through non-conceptual wisdom. Because knowing the eyes to be empty is itself inverted, it is therefore established that it cannot lead to liberation. If it is said to be non-conceptual, then because its inverted consciousness itself is not established, the meaning of the reason is also not established. Therefore, if the opponent's vow refers to the non-conceptual knowledge arising from the yogis' meditation, and believes that it does not lead to liberation, then the meaning of the opponent's reason, "because it is inverted," is not established, because the non-conceptual knowledge arising from the yogis' meditation has not established that it is itself an inverted consciousness. If it is said that the wisdom of emptiness, even if it is non-conceptual, cannot lead to liberation, because it is non-conceptual, like the eye consciousness of a child. This is the opponent's accusation against the non-conceptual knowledge arising from the yogis' meditation, believing that it is also non-conceptual, like the eye consciousness of ordinary people, and therefore cannot lead to liberation. These should also be linked in order to the subject, the property to be established, the property to establish, and the example. For example, the eye consciousness of a child, because it is non-conceptual, cannot lead to liberation, similarly, the wisdom of emptiness arising from the yogis' meditation, even if it is non-conceptual, is also non-conceptual.

They say that because of this, liberation is not attained. In response to that argument, the explanation itself shows that you are not certain about the meaning of the reason. Because I say that I, who arose from meditating on the cessation of consciousness, am not certain about this, and so on. Here, your cessation of consciousness, those arising from meditation, are both non-conceptual and seen as leading to liberation. Therefore, just because of non-conceptuality, like the eye consciousness of a child, would the wisdom of emptiness arising from the meditation of yogis not lead to liberation? Or, just because of non-conceptuality, like your cessation of consciousness arising from meditation, is it not certain that the wisdom of emptiness arising from the meditation of yogis leads to liberation? Therefore, the meaning of your reason, "because of non-conceptuality," is uncertain to yourselves, so it is not valid. Moreover, the meaning of the reason is not established for yourselves. Because the wisdom of emptiness is also conceptual by its very nature, it is conceptual. Therefore, by saying "because the wisdom of emptiness is also conceptual by its very nature, it is conceptual," it shows that the meaning of the opponent's reason, "because of non-conceptuality," is not established for themselves. Like this, the wisdom of emptiness arising from the meditation of yogis is also conceptual because it is the nature of knowledge, so it is not established for yourselves as being non-conceptual like those without mind. Inference also does not harm, because you yourselves have no example. By saying "because you yourselves have no example," it shows that the opponent's inference, "the wisdom of emptiness, although non-conceptual, also does not lead to liberation, because it is non-conceptual, like the eye consciousness of a child," also does not harm the Madhyamikas. Like this, the opponent's example, "like the eye consciousness of a child," is also conceptual because it is the nature of knowledge. Since the opponent themselves have not established non-conceptuality, there is no example. Furthermore,
