It is not for the sake of sacrifice. Like this, sacrifice itself is for the sake of those. Some say that using livestock for sacrifice is not unlawful, because it is for that sake. Saying this, the meaning of that reason is not established. Similarly, for the sake of reasons such as existence itself, inference should also be extensively explained. That is to say, the reason for that aspect is existence itself, the speakable itself, the knowable itself, the accomplishment of Dharma itself, joy and the cause of complete taming, and so on, should also be studied. Those who act in that way say that the Vedas were not created by anyone, and in order to establish that they are completely existent, permanent, and omniscient, it has been shown from where the treatise is taken. That is just a brief indication, which is a refutation of sacrifice. It is enough to mention it in passing, which is to establish omniscience. Therefore, in that way, omniscience is difficult to show without error that all dharmas are without self-nature, and is revered by the teachers of gods and humans. That is the Bhagavan who possesses the ten powers, which is the conclusion and the fruit of valid cognition (pramana). In that way, the words of the opponent, the heretical elephant-like ones, are subdued by the teachings of the Tathagata, which are like the roar of a lion, and therefore the Tathagata is established as omniscient. It is enough that the talk has gone too far, and we should enter the topic itself. This is to refute those who say that they are not omniscient, and to establish omniscience itself. That is enough for now, and now we should enter the topic itself of establishing the selflessness of the Tathagata in reality, thus showing. Here it is said, you have promised that all dharmas are without elaboration, and you also elaborate by saying that all dharmas are empty, therefore it will cause harm to the promise, which is the word of accusation that the other party makes against the Madhyamikas for harming their promise. In order to answer that, here it is said, that is true, although, this shows that it is true that all dharmas are without elaboration. Although it is true that there is no elaboration in the ultimate sense, but in the conventional sense

If it is not explained by elaborating on emptiness, then practitioners will not understand it. Therefore, in order to understand the ultimate truth, it is explained through conventional terms. To prove this, if all phenomena are empty, even without relying on elaboration, practitioners can understand that all phenomena are empty without the wisdom arising from hearing, then in the ultimate truth, one should not say empty, nor should one say not empty, nor should one say both or neither, because it has already been said. Therefore, if there is no need to elaborate in this way, then this has already been explained. It is not so, therefore, in order for those practitioners who are in accordance with the accumulation of merit and wisdom to understand in this way, emptiness and other expressions are used for the purpose of designation, in order to wash away the defilements of unreal perception. It is not so, therefore, in order to perfect the two accumulations and to wash away the defilements of clinging to views, in the conventional truth, emptiness and other expressions are used to elaborate on empty, not empty, both, and neither. There is no fault in doing so, this has been explained. Now, in order to explain the necessity of explaining emptiness and so on in the conventional truth, first, in order to destroy the obscuration of views, it should be said that knowables are empty. In order to abandon the view of non-existence, it should also be said that the nature of illusion and mirage is not empty. In the ultimate truth, because it does not arise from itself, and because it arises as the nature of illusion and so on, it should also be said that both are. In order to completely abandon falling into any extreme, and because of observing the two truths, thereby eliminating the poison of the fault of clinging to both, and in order to understand the ultimate truth, it should also be said that neither is. Therefore, in order to wash away the defilements of unreal perception, emptiness and so on are explained. This is a summary of explaining the four necessities, that is, in order to wash away these four inconsistencies, one says empty, not empty, both, and neither.
