It will not cause harm either. Here, the meaning of the debate is that, in the opponent's initial debate, from the ultimate point of view, time is the only thing that exists, because it is the cause of arising and ceasing. By pointing out the fault in the stated reason, since time is not established, it is shown that arising and ceasing are without inherent existence. This is called the conclusion and the result of valid cognition. In this section of the twenty-first debate examining arising and ceasing, viewing the meaning of the debate as the result of valid cognition is because, in the opponent's initial debate, from the ultimate point of view, time is the only thing that exists, because it is the cause of arising and ceasing. By refuting the stated difference of the opposite side of emptiness, it is shown that arising and ceasing are without inherent existence. What is the merit of showing that arising and ceasing are without inherent existence? Regarding showing this, others say: It can only be established with dry logical treatises. In order to eliminate this statement, it should also be established here with trustworthy scriptures. Therefore, in the Perfection of Wisdom, the Bhagavan Mother, asked by Subhuti, who subdues with great power, says: Subhuti, there is no death or birth in form. Similarly, there is no death or birth in feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness. Whatever does not have death or birth in form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness, that is the Perfection of Wisdom. It is said that all those things that are said, etc., are established. Having said that, such trustworthy

The connection with the ground is complete. Now, by refuting the distinctions of the opposing side of emptiness, and for the sake of seeking the Tathagata's body in ultimate truth, the twenty-second chapter is composed. The word "by" in the phrase "is composed" here also enters as a vow, with the meaning of cause. It is to be viewed in relation to what comes from the following text, and the meaning of the words is as before. Among these, by entering as a vow, taking it as the meaning of cause, now it is said, "By refuting the distinctions of the opposing side of emptiness." When the treatise writer composed the first chapter, which is related to causes, he made a vow that all things are without arising. Therefore, here also, the treatise writer enters according to how he previously made a vow, taking it as the meaning of cause, and thus he speaks. Emptiness is one's own side. Its opposing side is the opponent's side, which is to say that things have inherent existence. The so-called "distinctions" are the opponent's establishment of the thesis that things have inherent existence. First, it establishes the following text: "In ultimate truth, form and other things have only inherent existence, because they are things. For example, the body of the Tathagata," etc. The example of establishing that things have inherent existence shows that the body of the Tathagata has inherent existence in ultimate truth. The so-called "refuting it" is connected to "composing the twenty-second chapter" because of refuting it. Considering the meaning that comes from the following text, it is said, "For the sake of seeking the Tathagata's body in ultimate truth, the twenty-second chapter is composed." The meaning of the following text of the twenty-second chapter, the Examination of the Tathagata, is that the Dharmakaya of the Tathagata, the ultimate truth, and the Rupakaya, the conventional truth, are also clearly without inherent existence in ultimate truth. Therefore, it is said in that way because of that. What is the result of this chapter? And in what way is that result obtained? That

The Dharmakaya of the Sugata is the ultimate truth, and the Rupakaya is the conventional truth, also appearing as without inherent existence in the ultimate truth, this is the result here. By way of refuting the distinctions of the contradictory aspects of emptiness, that result is obtained, therefore, at this juncture of introducing the explanation, only the means and the first result arising from the means are shown. In order to show what is said to be the distinction of the contradictory aspects of emptiness, the Sutrantikas and Vaibhashikas here declare: In the ultimate truth, form and other things are only inherently existent, because they are things, for example, the body of the Tathagata. The ultimate truth Dharmakaya of the Tathagata refers to the moment of wisdom of the path of liberation, which arises immediately after the moment of the mind of the Vajra-like Samadhi. The conventional truth Rupakaya is also called the body of the Tathagata, because it (the Dharmakaya) is its basis. Therefore, by the power of the reason stated above, it is declared that in the ultimate truth, form and other things are only inherently existent. These are respectively: the subject, the property to be established, the establishing property, the example, the application of proximity, and the conclusion, to be combined in order. For example, the ultimate truth Dharmakaya and the conventional truth Rupakaya of the Tathagata, because they are things, are only inherently existent, similarly, form and other things are also only inherently existent because they are things. Among them, the ultimate truth Dharmakaya of the Tathagata refers to the wisdom of the path of liberation of the non-learning, which arises after the last Samadhi of all learners, namely the Vajra-like Samadhi, therefore this is also the body of the Tathagata. The conventional truth Rupakaya of the Tathagata refers to the one adorned with the thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks of a great person, this is also called the body of the Tathagata, because it is the basis of the Dharmakaya. Because these are things, therefore in the ultimate truth
