If the arising and ceasing of the cause of the fruit, that continuity is existent, because there is no arising in cessation, the cause will become the fault of annihilation. Because there is no arising in exhaustion, like a burnt seed, think like that. Saying this, in that way, cessation is the cessation of exhaustion, therefore there is no arising in cessation, therefore it shows that it becomes the fault of observing the cause as annihilation. Among them, the cause of cessation is the subject, and becoming the fault of observing annihilation is the dharma to be established. Because there is no arising, it is the dharma of establishment. Like a burnt seed, it is a metaphor, combine it like this. For example, if a burnt seed is acknowledged as a real entity, then it has no arising, therefore it becomes the fault of observing annihilation, similarly, if the cause of cessation is also acknowledged as a real entity, then it has no arising, therefore it becomes the fault of observing annihilation, the author of the sutra thought like this. If previously, depending on what arises, that is temporarily that, not other than that, therefore it is neither annihilation nor permanent, having acknowledged this, now pointing out the fault of becoming permanent and annihilation, that is unreasonable, this is what the other party says. You Madhyamikas previously, when examining self and phenomena, acknowledged that establishing is neither permanent nor annihilated, now pointing out the fault of us becoming observers of permanence and annihilation, that is unreasonable, this is what they say. Like that In response to that saying, here it is explained that it is not good, that is, the characteristic of the conventional is only that it shows not being annihilated and not being permanent, but in the ultimate truth, only because there is no arising, it will not become the fault of permanence and annihilation, therefore that is not the essence, saying this. We previously, depending on what arises, temporarily that is not that, nor other than that, therefore it is neither annihilation nor permanent, showing like this, there the characteristic of the conventional is only that it shows not being annihilated and not being permanent, that is also not observing things, in the conventional, it will not become the fault of observing permanence and annihilation, showing like this. We previously, not knowing peace from others, elaborations etc.

It is without elaboration. Without conceptualization, the meaning is not different. That is the nature of Suchness. This teaching also shows that in the ultimate sense, only that nature is without arising, and therefore it will not become the fault of permanence and annihilation. This also shows that for those who do not view things as real, it will not become the fault of viewing permanence and annihilation even in the ultimate sense. Because you view things as real, if you accept things as real, then in both the conventional and ultimate senses, you will become viewers of permanence and annihilation, so your accusation is meaningless. The Samkhyas say: Because the cause itself completely transforms into the nature of the effect, even if we accept that things exist, it will not become the fault of permanence and annihilation. The Samkhyas, who speak of complete transformation, say: For example, milk itself completely transforms into the nature of yogurt, milk is not yogurt, so it is not permanent, and milk is not something other than yogurt, so it is not annihilation. Similarly, because the cause itself completely transforms into the nature of the effect, the cause and effect cannot be said to be the same or different, so even if we accept that things exist, it will not become the fault of permanence and annihilation. This is what they say. In response to what they say, the commentator here says: That is not good, because there is no inference to prove the existence of complete transformation, and we have already extensively explained the refutation of it. Because you have no inference to prove the existence of complete transformation, we have already extensively explained the refutation of it. Even if one thinks that what has not completely transformed will completely transform, this sentence means that the Samkhyas do not think that the cause that has already completely transformed into the nature of the effect will still transform into the nature of the effect. If the Samkhyas think that the cause has not yet completely transformed into the nature of the effect, and will completely transform later, that is also unreasonable. To illustrate this, it is said: What has not completely transformed will not completely transform, because it has not completely transformed, like a rabbit's horn, because inference will cause harm. They say that these are the subject and what is to be established.
