Another inference is that these should also be related to the subject, the property to be proven, the proving property, and the example, in order. For example, just as a rabbit's horn does not arise from things because it does not exist, similarly, a non-thing also does not arise from things because it does not exist. If someone says, 'Although the non-existence of a pot does not exist, it arises from being struck by a hammer, which is uncertain,' then this is a word of reproach from the opponent to refute the Madhyamika's argument that 'it does not arise from things because it does not exist, like a rabbit's horn.' They say, 'Here, the non-existence after a pot is destroyed, although it was a non-thing before, it is later seen to arise from the thing of being struck by a hammer, so why does a non-thing not arise from things because it does not exist, like a rabbit's horn? Or, because it does not exist, just as the non-existence of a pot arises from the thing of being struck by a hammer, a non-thing arises from things, which is uncertain, so the Madhyamika's argument is not valid.' To answer what they said, the commentator here says: 'This itself is not uncertain, because the arising and ceasing of a pot have been prevented, and this itself has been made into a party, because there is no incompatible party.' The meaning is that because the arising and ceasing of a pot have been prevented in ultimate truth, the opponent's example does not exist, and the Madhyamika also makes the arising from the thing of being struck by a hammer after the destruction of the pot into a party, because there is no incompatible party, so the Madhyamika's argument is not uncertain. To show that the third case is unreasonable, it is said: 'Similarly, things and non-things do not arise, because the fault has been pointed out.' The meaning is that things and non-things have already pointed out the fault of preventing incompatibility. Again, it is to show another inference of the same. Or, a non-thing is not the cause of a thing, because it has not arisen, like a rabbit's horn, this is for inference. The meaning is that these are the subject, the property to be proven, and the proving property.

And, combine them in order as examples. For example, a rabbit's horn is not a cause of things because it has not arisen, similarly, non-things are also not a cause of things because they have not arisen. In order to show that the fourth situation is unreasonable. Similarly, non-things do not arise from non-things. Because it will be harmed by subsequent inferences and the harm of fame, so it is said. Non-things do not arise from non-things, just as a rabbit's horn does not arise from the son of a widow? Or like a flower in the sky does not arise from the hair of a tortoise, it will be harmed by the harm of fame. Thus, the four situations of arising and destruction, one does not arise from the other, so seeing these is seeing with ignorance, but from the ultimate meaning it is not. Also, from self-nature, or from other-nature, or from both will it arise? What is said in this way is, in addition, if there are four situations of arising and destruction, then will it arise from self-nature, or from other-nature, or from both? Because these are unreasonable in any way, it shows that arising and destruction do not exist. In order to show this principle. For this also, things do not arise from self-nature, nor do they arise from other-nature. Arising from self and other nature does not exist. If you ask why? Just like that, it has already been shown in detail at the beginning, what is said is, before, when observing the causes and conditions, it is not from self-nature, not from other-nature. Not from both, not without cause. Any thing, anywhere, arising has never existed. Having said this, it has already been shown. Then, how should it be said to arise? Not arising is the meaning of this word, this is the conclusion. Therefore, like that, arising and destruction do not exist, so the fundamental meaning of the reason is not established, this is the fruit of valid cognition. Like that, because arising and destruction do not exist in the ultimate meaning, at the beginning of the debate before, the opponent thought that time exists in the ultimate meaning, because it is the cause of arising and destruction. Here, whatever does not exist is not the cause of arising and destruction, for example, like a snake's foot.
