Therefore, combine the means of proof and the example in order. For example, for a thing that has the nature of dying, it is meaningless to infer its death again, therefore it does not have death. Similarly, for a thing that has the nature of decay, that is, a thing that has destruction, it is meaningless to infer its destruction again, therefore it does not have destruction either. In order to show the unreliability of the four possibilities, there is no destruction for what is not destroyed. Because it is not its own nature, like liberation. Therefore, someone said that this is "Gina". These are the subject, the dharma to be proven, the means of proof, and the example, combined in order. For example, liberation is not the nature of destruction, therefore it does not have destruction. Similarly, a thing does not decay immediately after it is produced, it does not have the nature of decay, therefore it is not the nature of destruction, therefore it does not have destruction. Therefore, it is unreliable to argue that birth and death exist with the four possibilities, so it is shown that what the other party infers is "Gina". Here someone says: birth and death are truly existent, because they are the dharma of things. Here, whatever does not exist is not the dharma of things, like the beard of a frog. Birth and death are the dharma of things, therefore, they are truly existent. This is the argument of the other party to prove that birth and death are truly existent with the reason that they are the dharma of things. These are the subject, the dharma to be proven, the means of proof, the example of dissimilar things, the pervasive subject, and the conclusion, combined in order. Here, a thing that does not exist like the beard of a frog is not the dharma of things, therefore it is non-existent. Birth and death are the basis of characteristics, the dharma of the characteristics of things, therefore they are truly existent. If they exist, time is also their cause, therefore they are truly existent. They say so. In order to answer what they said, the commentator himself said that what is said here, etc., birth and death do not exist.
