Connect them in order. For example, because the self-nature of destruction is the self-nature of that destruction, its destruction will occur as soon as it arises, so it is unreasonable for it to rely on other causes of destruction to be destroyed. Similarly, a thing with the self-nature of destruction, also because it is the self-nature of destruction, its destruction will occur as soon as it arises, so it is unreasonable for it to rely on other causes of destruction to be destroyed. In order to show that the second examination is unreasonable, even if it does not have the self-nature of destruction, it will not be destroyed, because it is not its self-nature, like Nirvana, so this is also unreasonable, so it is said. These are also connected in order, and are the subject, the dharma to be established, the dharma that establishes, the example, and the conclusion. For example, Nirvana is not the self-nature of destruction, so it will not be destroyed, so it is unreasonable for it to rely on other causes of destruction to be destroyed. Similarly, a thing that does not have the self-nature of destruction, also because it is not the self-nature of destruction, will not be destroyed, so it is unreasonable for it to rely on other causes of destruction to be destroyed. In short, they believe that, as the Vaibhashikas wish, after encountering the cause of destruction, impermanence itself causes it to be destroyed. Therefore, as long as it has not encountered the cause of destruction, impermanence itself will not cause it to be destroyed, so there are also cases where things that arise do not perish, which is a general refutation of their teachings. Now, in order to show the refutation of the cause of destruction itself that they examined, something is considered to be the cause of destruction of something, but that is not its cause, because there is a difference between them, but that is no difference, like being different from it, so it is said. These are also connected in order, and are the subject, the dharma to be established, the dharma that establishes, the example, and the conclusion. For example, a hammer is considered to be the cause of the destruction of a pot, and different from this, hail, high temperature, and fire, etc., are considered to be the cause of the destruction of a flower, there is a difference between these causes, because the destruction they destroy is called the nature of the flower is different

Since there is no difference between them, they are not the cause of the destruction of flowers. Similarly, considering the hammer to be the cause of the destruction of the vase is also the same, even though the hammer has distinctions such as iron hammers and wooden hammers, the destruction they cause, that is, the nature of the vase is no different, because there is no difference between them, so the hammer is not the cause of the destruction of the vase. Because in the world, cause and effect, from the difference of the cause, arises the difference of the effect corresponding to it, so the name of cause and effect is established. If one considers something to be the cause of the destruction of something, even if that cause has differences, the nature of the destruction that is destroyed is no different, because there is no difference between them, so it is not its cause. This is to show the refutation of destruction not being caused. Or, destruction is not caused, because it is not related to destruction, like uncompounded things. These should also be related in order to the subject, the proposition to be established, the property to be established, and the example. For example, uncompounded things are not related to destruction, therefore they are not caused, similarly, destruction is also destroyed by its own nature, therefore it is not related to other destructions, therefore it is not caused. To show that there are other faults for those who claim that destruction has a cause. Therefore, the Madhyamaka school infers that destruction is not caused, thereby negating the claim that it is caused. Therefore, the proposition established by the opponent has the fault of the subject of destruction, that is, denying the nature of being caused. This is to show that the previous inference of the Madhyamaka school, for the proposition established by the opponent, has the fault of the nature of destruction being caused. Chapter Sixty-Eight. If destruction is caused, because it is the nature of compounded things, like arising, then this is the statement of the opponent establishing the claim of being caused with the reason that destruction is the nature of compounded things. These are the subject, the proposition to be established, and the property to be established.
