Then, repeating, it says: For form that is non-existent or existent, cause is not reasonable, for if non-existent, what would it become the cause of? If existent, what would cause do? It should be understood that this is said for the purpose of refuting. Those who assert causelessness say that it is only causeless, and for the sake of refuting them, it is said: Forms that are causeless, are not reasonable, not reasonable. Because even in conventional terms, it is not admitted. It should be understood thus. It means that the worldly Lokayatas and others who assert causelessness say that all things arise only from causelessness, so form also arises only from causelessness. In order to refute them, the teacher said: This upper half-verse is to explain that the tenet of causelessness is not admitted even in conventional terms. It should be understood thus. Because that is absolute nothingness, it is unreasonable, not reasonable, this is explained by repeatedly affirming it. Or, the Vaibhashikas say that future form also exists. For the sake of refuting them, it is said: Forms that are causeless, are not reasonable, not reasonable. Not having taken the cause of future birth, not having obtained the entity of oneself, therefore, even in name, existence cannot be established. It should be understood thus. It means that all the Sarvastivadins of the Shravaka Vaibhashikas say that all things exist at all times, so future form also exists. Therefore, they are also the same as those who assert causelessness, and in order to refute them, the teacher also said this upper half-verse. The future form has not taken the cause of its own birth, and because it has not taken the cause of its own birth, it has not obtained the entity of itself, and that is absolutely non-existent even in conventional terms, so existence cannot be established. It should be understood thus. That is also absolute nothingness, so it is unreasonable, not reasonable, this is explained by repeatedly affirming it. Because of this, the form of the nature of the four great elements and that which is transformed from the four great elements, in all ways cannot...

It is not reasonable. Therefore, one should not discriminate any conceptualization of form. What is the reason for saying that? If it is not the cause of form, then form will not become an object of perception. And for the existence and non-existence of form, the cause of form is also not reasonable. Form without a cause is indeed not reasonable, because it is not reasonable. Therefore, one should not discriminate any conceptualization of form, because it is not reasonable to discriminate what has no place. What kind of person should not discriminate the conceptualization of form? In this regard, in order to briefly show what kind of person should not discriminate, it is said, "The wise do not truly discriminate the Dharma-nature, those who wish to realize it, should properly open the eye of correct wisdom." It means that a wise Bodhisattva who wishes to realize the Dharma-nature as it is without discrimination, with the meaning of no object of perception, truly towards the object, in the manner of no object of perception, should properly open the eye of correct wisdom, and then should not discriminate. In order to show which conceptualizations of form should not be discriminated, it is said, "Form is truly existent, and different from the cause, and not different from the cause, and those, the differences of color and shape, etc., many conceptualizations of objects." In order to show what those conceptualizations of form are like, it is said, "Like waking up from a dream of an unborn child, seeing the child's form and behavior, etc." For example, in the dream of a barren blind woman who has never given birth to a child, and has never seen objects such as color, shape, and behavior, she dreams of giving birth to her own child and seeing with her eyes, and discriminates her own child, who is endowed with limitless forms of color and shape, and discriminates many enjoyments in objects such as behavior. When she wakes up, she knows that she has not given birth to a child, nor has she seen with her eyes, nor has she discriminated. Likewise, a child in samsara, with a reversed and confused intention, sees the conceptualizations of objects such as form being truly existent, and different from the cause, and not different from the cause, etc. When the Dharma-nature is like
