Because validity is the cause of that intellect. If one conceives of existence itself and measure, or existence itself and immeasurability, existence itself as possessing measure, it is also meaningless, and it will become a contradictory refutation. If one conceives of something that is not to be expressed as later possessing existence itself and measure, then the thing is not possessing existence itself and measure, because it is a thing, for example, like the moment of that which is not to be expressed itself, like harming one's own subsequent inference, and so forth, one should refute appropriately according to the manner previously shown. The other branches of the six meanings of the words of the particularists, which are included by the word "etc.", should also be similarly combined and stated appropriately. Therefore, in this way, otherness is not reasonable, so there is no reason that has not been established as mentioned above, which is the conclusion of the section. In this way, since the meaning of the words of the particularists, such as otherness, is not reasonable, therefore the special reason stated by the Madhyamikas is dependent and has dependence. Other teachers said: There are two extremes, the extreme of otherness and the extreme of non-otherness. To this, if you say that there is no extreme of otherness, because this is a refutation, so the extreme of non-otherness has been completely taken, then it will harm the extreme of what has been done. This is what other debaters say with the trick of reason, that the Madhyamikas refuted the extreme of otherness, so they took the extreme of non-otherness, so it will harm the way of abandoning the two extremes. In order to answer what they said, the commentator said here: As the manner shown before, it has been shown for the time being that there is no otherness, if otherness does not exist, then the other or self does not exist. Because non-otherness is established by relying on the other or refuting it, so it is a nominalist, and because otherness is not established, so non-otherness does not exist either, that is what is thought. He said: I refuted otherness by refuting in the way of non-existence, because non-otherness was not completely taken in the way of refuting non-existence, so otherness exists not
