It is said that the meaning of "returning to the desired meaning is accomplished." Furthermore, when the Blessed One spoke of it, "It is to fully reveal emptiness," and so on, it means that when the Blessed One spoke of "deceptive dharma," it is to make people believe in the meaning of emptiness, but it does not directly reveal emptiness. Therefore, I vow that, in the ultimate sense, inner things are empty of self-nature, because the reason given is "it is a deceptive dharma," which is not part of the meaning of the vow. This is how it is shown. In order to show the validity of that itself. The Blessed One has eradicated all defilements and obscurations of knowledge, along with their roots. Therefore, the "deceptive dharma" that is spoken of is to fully reveal emptiness. The reason for saying "deceptive dharma" is that it does not arise without it. For example, when a speaker says, "This place has smoke," it shows that it has fire. Having said these, they are arranged in order as subject, predicate, probans, and example. For example, when a speaker merely says, "This place has smoke," because smoke does not arise without fire, that statement shows that this place has fire. Similarly, the Blessed One has abandoned the two obscurations along with their predispositions. Therefore, when it is said that "conditioned things are deceptive dharmas," saying "deceptive dharma" is the same as saying emptiness of self-nature, because it does not arise without it. Therefore, saying "deceptive dharma" is to fully reveal emptiness. Therefore, I vow that, in the ultimate sense, inner things are empty of self-nature, because the reason given is "it is a deceptive dharma," which is not part of the meaning of the vow. Therefore, there is no fault of incomplete proof, and therefore the meaning of my intention is accomplished. Here it is said that the "false" that is spoken of exists, but it is not the meaning of non-existence, nor is it to fully reveal the absence of self in phenomena, and so on. The opponent argues:

Although the Blessed One has said the statement, "All conditioned things are false," its meaning is not that they do not exist, nor does it completely show the selflessness of phenomena. It shows that things do not have a self of a person, because they appear to change state in every moment. Therefore, since there is no such thing as phenomena without self, you Madhyamikas believe that, ultimately, inner things are empty of self-nature because they are deceptive phenomena, like the body of a woman conjured by a magician. Therefore, by showing that conditioned things are without self-nature from the aspect, it is not appropriate to show that meaning by the power of meaning alone, this is the argument that is being said. To illustrate this, as the Blessed One said, "False": Things have no self-nature, because they appear to change. This shows that they appear to change. The Blessed One said, "False" shows that things do not have the self of a person. Just as things change state in every moment. To add to this, the Blessed One said, "False" shows that things have no self-nature, which shows that it is the non-eternal self-nature. Saying "False" means that things do not have the self of a person, that is, it shows that it is the non-eternal self-nature that changes state in every moment. It should be examined in this way: There is no thing without self-nature. This shows that since there is no such thing as phenomena without self, therefore the selflessness of a person should be examined. To illustrate this, then what is it like? It is indeed the self-nature that is promised. This is the saying that the self-nature of phenomena exists. According to your view, things would become without self-nature, which is unreasonable, because you Madhyamikas show that phenomena have no self-nature.

Therefore, the scripture says that it is not real because it will turn into annihilation. Why is it not real? Because all things are emptiness. Because all things are free from self and what belongs to self, it is said to be emptiness. But it is not that there are no things, so it should be known that things exist. If this is not the case, if self-nature does not exist, then what is the transformation? It means that if you do not want to admit that the self-nature of phenomena exists, if the self-nature of phenomena does not exist, then the transformations of states such as childhood, youth, adulthood, middle age, old age, etc., what are these things that are seen? These transformations will also become the fault of non-existence. The so-called "that is also seen" means that the transformation is also seen. Therefore, the fact that things have transformation is the affirming dharma, so it can be inferred, which means that transformation is the reason for proving the absence of self of person and the existence of self of phenomena, so here we must infer in this way. From the ultimate truth, things have self-nature because they transform. Here, things that do not exist will not have transformation, such as the son of a barren woman. Internal things have transformation, so from the ultimate truth, things have self-nature. These are respectively the subject of proof, the dharma, the affirming dharma, the dissimilar example, the proximate combination, and the conclusion, which should be combined in order. Here, like the son of a barren woman, those things that do not exist have no transformation, but internal things have transformation, therefore internal things have self-nature from the ultimate truth. Therefore, it is impossible for things without self of phenomena to exist, so you Madhyamikas previously proved the absence of self-nature of all phenomena through inference, and it is unreasonable to explain the only truth in this way. This is what they say. In order to answer their statement, the commentary says: Here it is said that if self-nature exists,
