Saying "it is not so." And, if arguing a reason solely based on the dharma of the example, then the response is that the meaning of the reason is not established. For example, stating the reason as "sound is impermanent because it is produced, like a pot," that is because both sound and pot are generally known, and here it is stated as the reason itself, therefore "sound is impermanent" as the subject and "like a pot" as the similar instance, both are established in relation, so it is also common, and it is not that the meaning is not established. Showing the example is to realize the similar instance specifically, just as showing the proposition is to realize the subject specifically, therefore it is said that the meaning of the reason itself is the application. This is to answer what previous opponents said, that if arguing a reason based on a common dharma, then the concomitance is meaningless, because the dharma of the example is also shown generally. Why do we show the example? For example, just as showing the proposition "sound is impermanent" is to realize the subject and the dharma to be proven specifically, so showing "like a pot" is to realize the similar instance of sound's impermanence specifically. Because what is distinguished by the reason that accompanies the dharma to be proven is the example of the dharma-similar, therefore the example is shown to distinguish the characteristics of the dharma-similar. Whatever is produced is impermanent, like a pot, through such an example, the dharma of the subject is also realized, therefore through the connection of the application, because the meaning of the reason itself is stated, even if the reason is stated generally, showing the concomitance is not meaningless. Even if the reason is stated, because there is no difference from the meaning of the member of the proposition, so because it summarizes that meaning, it is not that the meaning of the reason is not established. This is to answer what previous opponents said, that the application and the conclusion are not other members, because there is no difference in meaning, like the reason itself. To this, the meaning of the reason is not established, that near

In order to establish what should be established and the reason for establishment through intermediate connections, even if the reason is not stated, it becomes one; even if the reason is established, it is answered because the stated conclusion is stated: Even if the reason "because it is done" is stated, then how to make the vow of sound impermanent and the meaning of the branch of the vow of the bottle impermanent, because the reason "because it is done" is no different from what should be established, so the meaning of the reason itself is shown by the conclusion, because the reason and the close connection and the conclusion are no different in meaning, so the meaning of my reason is not not established. If what should be established is established through three branches, then connecting four or five branches is meaningless, so this is not an answer, this is the conclusion. Just as we have established, the thing that should be established that sound is impermanent, through three branches, it is meaningless for you to examine four or five branches, you say that there should not be only three branches, this is not an answer. The characteristics of branches such as number should not be examined, because it would be too excessive. Because it shows that in the rational scriptures, how many branches are used to establish what should be established, that's all. The characteristics of the number of branches three, four, five, etc. are not examined, so here it is only said that what should be established is established through three branches, that's all. Otherwise it would be too excessive, so we will not prevent you from the branches that your own sect considers. Here, the words of the author of the treatise are mostly named by the three characteristics of Dharma-sameness, Dharma-difference, and reason, that is, the aspects that conform to the nature of the doctrine follow, and the aspects that do not conform do not exist. Therefore, only the sect is shown, which shows that in this world, the words of the authors of the treatises are mostly The characteristic of Dharma-sameness, that is, it exists in the corresponding aspect, the characteristic of Dharma-difference, that is, it does not exist in the non-corresponding aspect, and the three characteristics of reason are named. The three characteristics of reason are the nature of the doctrine
