Whatever ends with "accomplished without being done by me" is a conclusion. Thus, for the time being, it can be considered that suffering is not created by me. This is to refute the view that suffering is created by others. Now, it will be explained why suffering created by others is unreasonable. If another person creates it, then by another person, who is given this suffering? How can it be without suffering? etc. It is said, if, as the opponent believes, a past other person created suffering and gives it to the present person, then which past person created suffering and gives it to the present person? Before he has given it, how can the person to whom suffering is to be given exist as a recipient without suffering? This is impossible. To illustrate this, it is said, "If another person creates it." If, as the opponent believes, a past other person created suffering and gives it to the present person, then, in other different stages, another person created that suffering, and how can the person to whom suffering is to be given be without suffering? That is non-existent. Because the person without suffering has been denied, and there is no inference to prove its existence. Thus contemplating, it is said, another person in a different stage of a previous life created that suffering, and the present person to whom suffering is to be given, before he has been given it, how can the present person exist as an entity of a recipient without suffering? That is non-existent. Because the person without suffering has already been denied, and the opponent has no inference to prove its existence. Because the present person does not exist, the other person in other different stages does not exist, then why would it become "what he created is created by others"? This is to clarify the meaning of the present by refuting the previous flawed statement. If the object of giving

If there is a person who receives alms in that way, then depending on that, there will also be another person in another different state of a previous life. If the suffering he has done is also called done by another person, then for the present person who does not receive alms, because there is no other person in another different state of a previous life, why would the suffering he has done be called done by another person? It will not be called done by another person. Furthermore, it has already been shown earlier by inference that suffering was not done by me, therefore, because what I have done is not established, how could suffering be done by another? Because for someone who has not done it, it is impossible to have the designation of "another." Understanding it in this way shows another reason why another person did not create suffering. Previously, if I had done it, it would not arise depending on this. Because for these aggregates, they arise depending on those aggregates. In this way, it has already been shown by inference that suffering was not done by me, therefore, just as there is no short thing if there is no observation of a long thing, if there is nothing done by me, then there is also nothing done by another, therefore, because it is not done by me, and there is no self, so there can be no designation of "another," therefore suffering is not done by another person. Or, because it is determined in each individual continuum that the ripening of karma cannot be done by others, it is said, "How could suffering be done by another?" This shows that the meaning of the root verse is explained in another way. For beings such as gods and humans, it is determined in each individual continuum that whatever good and non-good have satisfactory and unsatisfactory ripening results, that is called the ripening of karma determined in each individual continuum. That karma is done by oneself in each individual continuum, and it is impossible for it to be done by another, therefore the venerable face of the teacher Nagarjuna said, "How could suffering be done by another?" Therefore, in that way, it is unreasonable for suffering to be done by me and another, this is the conclusion of the section. Therefore, if analyzed in that way, at what time, the self and another person as the agent are not
