Think about its meaning. Furthermore, if others have done this, then suffering is done by others. This means: if this is different from that, if that is different from this. This is the remainder of the sentence. If these are different from those, and those are also different from these, then others have done these, and suffering is also done by others. If they should not be different entities, then it shows that suffering is not done by others. If asked how they should not be different entities? Answer: Therefore, it is said that in those reasons, different entities are also definitely not established. Why? If both exist, then because they are mutually dependent, they can be established as different. However, when the former aggregates exist, the present ones do not; when the present aggregates exist, the former ones do not. Therefore, through the door of that reason, different entities are also definitely not established in them, so suffering is not done by others. Even if it has become a different entity, just as in the discrimination of non-arising, it is shown that there is no arising from others, so think of its meaning as no arising from that. In this way, it is shown that although it has become a different entity in conventional terms, in the ultimate sense, it is shown that there is no arising from others, just like the former. To show the reason for this, if asked how to think that different entities are not established? Answer: In the ultimate sense, the former aggregates of Devadatta are not different from the latter aggregates, because they are the aggregates of Devadatta, just like the nature of the latter aggregates. This is said. Those are sequentially combined as the subject, the property to be established, the reason to be established, and the example. For example, the latter aggregates of Devadatta are not different from their own nature because they are the aggregates of Devadatta, just as the former aggregates of Devadatta are also not different from the latter aggregates because they are the aggregates of Devadatta. Also, the reason is that it is suffering of the same continuum, so the remaining parts of the combination are like the former. Saying this, the remaining parts of the combination of the previous inference are combined like the former, and the reason for that is this latter one.

It can also be combined in this way. Combine it like this: From the ultimate point of view, the aggregates of Devadatta before are not different from the aggregates after, because they are a continuous and non-different suffering, for example, like the self-nature of the later aggregates. Thus, the second commitment has also been established. Now, the third commitment is to be established. In order to show its first part, others say: Because one does not experience the result of actions done by others, and because it is done by different states of persons, suffering is both done by me and also done by others, so there is no fault in showing both sides. The opponents say: Because one does not experience the result of actions done by others, it is not done by others, but it is done by me; and because it is done by different previous states of persons, it is not done by me, but it is done by others. Therefore, the fault of showing both sides of not done by me and not done by others, which was previously stated by the Madhyamikas, does not exist in our view. They say so. In response to their saying so, here the commentator himself answers. Here, it shows sequentially the refutation of both views that suffering is done by the self and suffering is done by others. First, in order to refute the view that suffering is done by the self, it is said here: If suffering is done by the self, then which self, the self that does suffering, who is the one without suffering? and so on. If the opponents, as they wish, think that suffering is done by the self, then which person has done his own suffering? Before he has not done his own suffering, he should be without suffering. However, a person without suffering does not exist, and if he does not exist, then which person without suffering would do the suffering that he has not done himself? That does not exist, so he has not done suffering, thus it shows. In order to show this, in order to cover up the harm to one's own tenet, if one thinks that which person has done the suffering of the nature of the five aggregates, it is said:
