It is not a substance, nor is a stick a substance. Similarly, the meaning of the word "collection" also has a connection. For example, the common collection of a cow is related to horns, so the term "horned" is the meaning of the word collection, but it is only related to horns that it is approximated as "horned." The cow itself is not a substance, nor are the horns a substance. Therefore, if you Buddhists consider it to be a related party, then your memories and knowledge, etc., are substances, which contradicts the extreme of fabrication. Why? Because you Buddhists will recall that I previously performed such and such virtuous and non-virtuous deeds, and that which is now produced, and I will experience such and such pleasant and painful results, and that which is now produced, and so on. The word "etc." includes the actions I previously generated from desire, generated from hatred, and generated from ignorance, and will recall that I performed such actions, and that which is now produced, and I will experience such and such results generated by them, and that which is now produced. All of these are also connected by the characteristics of the meaning of the word "encounter" or by the characteristics of the meaning of the word "collection." Therefore, they are only connections, and are only approximated as cause and effect. The previous moment of mind is not the real agent, nor is the later moment of mind the real recipient. In that case, you Buddhists yourselves will contradict the extreme of fabrication, because in your extreme of fabrication, the agent and the recipient, etc., all appear as substances, but you say here that they are approximately established. If you Buddhists say this: We Buddhists say that all conditioned phenomena are of the nature of disintegration in each moment, then how can the faults you point out become those faults? If you say so, then for the Vaisheshika and other schools that only speak of one self, how can those faults not become those faults? Therefore, they will say that because there is only one self, there is no fault,

In our school, from the first emanation to the final great fear, my observation is the same, so there is no fault of encountering what has not been done and wasting what has been done. In our established tenets, the doer is also that, and the eater is also that, so it is said. In response to this statement, the commentary here says, "How is that the same?" etc., which shows the question of how the sameness of the self you speak of is the same. Those who ask in this way, if the other party says, "Because it has the number of oneness," then this shows the emphasis of the other party's tenets. In the tenets of the Samkhyas, all things such as the self are neither one nor different. According to the six meanings of words, if it has the number one of qualities, it is called oneness, and if it has difference, it is called difference. Therefore, here, the self also has the reality of the number one of qualities, so it is considered to be oneness. Now, in order to show the refutation's subsequent inference, I say that the self does not have the reality of the number one, because it exists, like the reality of the number one. These are the subject, the property to be proven, the proving property, and the example, arranged in order. For example, the reality of the number one is not possessed of the reality of the number one because it exists. That itself cannot be possessed by itself. Likewise, the self is also not possessed of the reality of the number one because it exists. Existence itself cannot be possessed by existence itself. If the other party
