It should not look at the object to be seen, does not look. Therefore, saying that the eye does not look is to establish what has already been established. It means that the seer, I, uses the eye, which is the function of seeing, to look at the object to be seen, but the eye itself, which is the function of seeing, does not look at the object to be seen. With this reasoning, you Madhyamikas say: "If the seer is identical to the self-nature, then it does not see that self-nature. If it does not see the self-nature, how does it see other things?" By saying this, it has already been established that the eye does not look at the object. This is also established in our own sect, so there is the fault of establishing what has already been established. In order to show the measure of that itself. It is said: There are agents for actions, because they are actions, just as there are cutters for axes and so on. These are also established in order as dharma, dharma to be established, dharma to be established, and metaphor. For example, the action of cutting, axes, etc., because it is the action of cutting, therefore those who have the agent of cutting, the person who is the agent of cutting cuts the tree to be cut with the action of cutting, axes, etc. Similarly, the action of seeing, the eye, is also the action of seeing, therefore it has the agent of seeing, I, the agent of seeing, I, uses the action of seeing, the eye, to look at the object to be seen. So it is said. In response to this statement, the commentator himself says here: It should be understood that the explanation of the nature of the seer by the seeing itself should be understood as the answer. With what answer? With the seeing itself. What? The seer, that is, the refutation of the various distinctions made by the seer himself, is also the same. Thinking like this, etc., is said. The reasons and metaphors that were shown earlier in the context of refuting seeing, those themselves should also be established here in the context of refuting the seer. That's what I think. Therefore, just as the dharma of the eye does not look at its own self-nature there. Here, my dharma also does not look at its own self-nature, so it is said. Earlier, in the context of refuting seeing, it was said: "If the seer is identical to the self-nature, then it does not see that self-nature. If

If I do not see myself, how do I see others? As it is said, in order to prove that the seer does not see form, he also does not see his own self-nature. Similarly, here, when refuting the seer, it can also be applied in this way: The seer's own self-nature, that is, does not see itself. If I do not see myself, how do I see others? Therefore, the seer, that is, I, does not see form. In order to prove this dharma, he also does not see his own self-nature. Why? Because I should not see my own self-nature, because entering one's own self-nature is contradictory. Therefore, it is said like this. In order to explain that one aspect of the dharma does not see its own self-nature, an analogy of destruction is given, just as the edge of a sword cannot cut itself with itself. In order to explain that measure, therefore, it is inferred in this way: Ultimately, I am also not a seer, because I do not see my own self-nature, for example, the ear. Those should also be combined in order as the subject, the dharma to be established, the dharma to be established, and the metaphor. For example, the ear does not see its own self-nature, therefore it is not a seer. Similarly, I do not see my own self-nature, therefore I am not a seer. If the other party says that I can see myself, therefore your reason, that is, not seeing one's own self-nature, is not established. In order to refute this view of the other party, an explanation is given here that even if the other party doubts that the reason is not established, it cannot be contaminated by poison. The other party says that I am a seer, therefore doubting that the reason of the Madhyamaka school is not established, this doubt is like poison, and it cannot be contaminated and defiled by it. If the other party says that in all the tenets of one's own and other schools, it is also said that I can see myself, therefore it should be contaminated by the poison of doubting that the reason is not established. In order to refute this view of the other party, an explanation is given here.
