Because the planted crops will mature, so there is also fire in the earth element; if water touches, grass and trees will grow, so there is also fire in the water element; the grains touched by the wind will mature, so there is also fire in the wind element, because your examples of water etc. have fire, it is not burning firewood, because the dharma to be proven is not in those, the example does not match what is to be proven, so it cannot be used as an example, this is what they say. In response to their saying this, the explanation here is: because the things to be proven are similar and belong to the category of things to be proven? Or the earth etc. become examples by their own characteristics, so there is no fault, thus it is said. The earth etc. have fire, that is also because in reality fire is not burning firewood, it is similar to what is to be proven, and belongs to its category, so those are also not burning firewood, therefore there is no fault in the example. Or the nature of earth is hardness, the nature of water is wetness, the nature of wind is lightness and movement, because those are not burning, so in reality the example of fire not burning firewood is established, therefore there is also no fault in the example. If it is said like this, fire burning firewood is recognized in the world, and it is said in the scriptures, and it is seen with one's own eyes, but you Madhyamikas say that fire is not burning firewood, proving this will have the fault of contradicting common sense etc., in order to refute their previous view, the explanation here is: there is also no fault of contradicting common sense etc., because it has been answered before. Because in reality fire is not burning firewood, this special commitment has been made, so there is no fault of contradicting common sense, no fault of contradicting the scriptures, and no fault of contradicting what is seen with one's own eyes, because it has been answered before. The Vaisheshikas say that when an atom meets my direction, the karma produced by the invisible related to me separates that atom from my direction, and makes it meet other atoms, the meeting atom

It makes it the place of both. The two that are combined with atoms create a substance called a binary atom. The binary atom also combines with atoms in the manner described above, thereby creating a substance called the atom of the binary atom, and so on, gradually creating the substance that manifests. Because it is related to fire itself, it is fire; similarly, what is burned is also wood because it is related to wood. Since the two are cause and effect, they are interdependent, so they say. That is to say, the Vaibhashikas think that fire and wood are different, but they are also interdependent, so the faults such as non-dependence that were pointed out earlier do not exist on our side, this is the treatise they say. In their treatises, at the time of the destruction of the world, the great elements such as earth dissolve and remain in the state of atoms, and at the time of formation, whichever atom combines with the self's side, because it combines with the self, it has the so-called invisible, the common action produced by Dharma and non-Dharma. The atom that combines with the self's side, after it combines with the self's side, causes it to combine with other atoms. The meaning of the word called combination is to make that which is separated from the doctrine of the atomists combine with others, and make it the place of both. The two that are combined with atoms create a substance called a binary atom. The binary atom also creates the atom of the binary atom.

Furthermore, the Madhyamikas previously pointed out that if fire and wood were different, then because there is no dependence, there would be faults such as constant burning, no burner, meaningless creation, and no action. To this, they (the Vaisheshikas) say: We Vaisheshikas do not have these faults. In order to answer these words of theirs, here, through explanation, it is stated that those faults previously pointed out by them, such as "If fire is different from wood, then it should arise even without wood," etc., will be refuted through detailed discussion. And so on, through the word "etc.," it also includes the faults previously pointed out when fire and wood are different, such as "it will constantly burn, arise from a cause without a burner, creation will become meaningless, and if so, action will also not exist," etc. In short, this view of "otherness" will be refuted. In ultimate truth, the manifestor should not be considered fire, because it is a produced thing, just like other produced things. These words should be connected in order with the subject, the property to be established, the property that establishes, and the example. For example, produced things different from the manifestor, such as water, etc., because they are produced things, should not be considered fire. Similarly, the manifestor is also a produced thing, so it should not be considered fire. To this, some individual proponents say that the substance of the manifestor that gradually arises is related to fire itself, so it is fire. This statement is unreasonable, because the manifestor is not the nature of fire, so the substance of fire is not established. The previously stated view that fire is not what burns wood, because it is a produced thing, like water, etc., has been established. Regarding the refutation of creation, in ultimate truth, the atoms of fire are not what create the substance called "fire," because they are atoms, just like other atoms. These words should also be connected in order with the subject, the property to be established, the property that establishes, and the example. For example, the atoms of water, which are different from fire, because they are atoms, are not what create the substance called "fire." Similarly, the atoms of fire are also atoms.
