Since it is not established, it is not permissible to say that. To emphasize that point, it was said, "Therefore, that is not reasonable," and so on. The phrase "What is it?" refers to the statement "That is not reasonable," asking what is not reasonable in that way. In response, it was said, "That is a single nature," meaning that the self is not a single nature. Why is it not reasonable? It means that it is because of the fault of the proposition that faults arise. It was said, because you propose that "The viewer is also that one, and the listener and the feeler are also that one," due to the fault of the proposition, viewing and listening, etc., have different characteristics, and the states are different, so it is not established that those become a single nature, and faults arise. In order to show the measure of establishing that it is not a single nature, in the true meaning, the listener is not other than the viewer, because he is a listener, like the listener of a different continuum. Those, in order, are the subject, the dharma to be established, the dharma that establishes, and the example. For example, the listener of a different continuum of sacrificial offering, because he is a listener, is other than the viewer of a different continuum of Deva-given, just as the listener of a different continuum of Deva-given is also, because he is a listener, other than the viewer of a different continuum of Deva-given. Since the non-otherness is refuted by the subsequent inference that the listener, etc., are other, therefore the proposition has the fault of refuting the own nature of the subject, which is a statement emphasizing the previous text, because the opponent thinks that the receiver exists before each of viewing, etc., because viewing and listening, etc., have different characteristics, and the states are different, therefore, in reality, it is a subsequent inference that the listener, etc., are other, therefore it refutes the belief that the viewer and the listener and the feeler are not other but are a single nature, therefore the opponent's proposition has the fault of refuting the own nature of the receiver of the dharma being a single nature and becoming another body, therefore, whichever viewer is only that, that is the listener and

The thought that it is also a feeler is unreasonable. Now, in order to show that when inferring as the same entity, the viewer also has the fault of not relying on the eye, the viewer does not rely on the eye in order to see things, because it is not other than the listener, for example, saying "is the listener." Those are also sequentially related to the subject, the to-be-established dharma, the establishing dharma, and the example. For example, the listener is not other than the listener, therefore, in order to see things, he does not rely on the eye, similarly, the viewer is not other than the listener, therefore, in order to see things, he does not rely on the eye. By inferring that the viewer is not other than the listener, in order to see things, he does not rely on the eye, therefore, in order to exclude it, there is a fault of excluding the difference of the subject in the proposition, which is also a supplement to the previous words. Because the opponent thinks that the viewer, the listener, and the feeler are the same entity, this is inferring as not other, therefore the viewer is also not other than the listener. Just as the listener does not rely on the eye in order to see things, the viewer also does not rely on the eye in order to see things, therefore, in order to exclude relying on the eye, on the proposition established by the opponent, there is a fault of excluding relying on the eye, the difference of the subject viewer, in order to see things, there is a fault of not relying on the eye, therefore, for the second inference, the thought that whoever is the viewer, that is also the listener and the feeler, is unreasonable. That is unreasonable. To this, others say this: If that seeing and so on exists before each one, then the viewer is also that, the listener is also that, the feeler is also that, it will become like that, that is unreasonable. Why? Because it will become like a person going out from different windows, I will also become going to other roots, I do not want to go to any other roots, they say.
