It should be said that for the non-self-natured place, it is said to "exhale." He showed that by refuting the Vaibhashikas' view that the object and consciousness are not united by way of negation, since the Samkhyas' view that the object and consciousness are united was not established by negation, the Samkhyas hope and exhale in order to achieve unity in the non-self-natured place. Although this is the case, the meaning of the promise cannot be achieved by words alone, so the words of proof must also be used here. Therefore, he also said that the eye is not considered to be united with the object because it is a sense organ, such as consciousness. These should also be related to the subject, the object to be established, the means of establishing, and the metaphor in order. For example, consciousness is not considered to be united with the object because it is a sense organ, similarly, the eye is not considered to be united with the object because it is a sense organ. Here, if the opponent says, what does the Madhyamika's reason "because it is a sense organ" mean? Is it because it is a sense organ, such as consciousness, that it will not be united with the object? Or is it because it is a sense organ, such as the nose and other sense organs, that it will be united with the object? Therefore, your reason is uncertain and therefore not established. In order to answer the first question arising from the opponent, it is explained here that the uncertainty of the nose and other sense organs also does not exist, because they will also be shown below to be the same as this. He said that the nose and other sense organs will also say at the end of the "Analysis of the Elements": "With seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, touching, and mind, the hearer and hearing, etc., should be known as separate." Therefore, the eye neither grasps the non-united object nor grasps the united object, because it shows that it is the same as this, so uncertainty does not exist. What is the meaning of "grasping unity"? This is the question of the Madhyamikas to the Samkhyas. If it grasps by going from the place to the direction of the object

If someone says, "The illuminator" refers to the eye as understood by the Samkhyas, that is, the sense organ of the eye moves from its own position, the locus of the eye's fruit, outward towards the object of sight, thereby holding the object. If the Samkhyas say this, it is not valid. Therefore, in reality, the function of the eye does not move outward from the position of the category of eye-consciousness, because it is a function, just like the function of the nose and other sense organs. Having said this, these are sequentially connected to the subject, the property to be proven, the proving property, and the example. For example, the function of the nose and other sense organs is a function, therefore, it does not move outward from the position of the category of nose and other consciousnesses. Similarly, the function of the eye is also a function, therefore, it does not move outward from the position of the category of eye-consciousness. If the sense organ of the eye, that is, the function of holding the object, moves outward from the position of the category called eye-consciousness, that is, the locus of the eye's fruit, towards the object of sight and holds the object, then as long as it moves from its position towards the object, the fault of perceiving the object at different times will occur. For example, going to a distant place takes a long time, because that thing has mobility. Therefore, looking at the sun and moon, etc., which are located far away, takes a long time to see, while looking at the tops of trees, etc., which are located nearby, is seen quickly. But this is not the case, because there is no temporal order in seeing the sun, moon, and the tops of trees. Therefore, the eye does not hold the object by touching it. If the eye holds the object by touching it, then it would only see the area the size of the eye's fruit, and would not see more than that. If the eye holds the object by touching it and moves from its position towards the object, then the viewer Devadatta will become blind, and there will also be the fault of seeing objects even when the face is covered. This very point is also explained in the *Compendium on Valid Cognition* and the *Hundred Verses* of the *Madhyamika*.
