Since the statement "it possesses a realm that is non-different from itself" does not establish the distinction of the proponent's position, the basis of the reason is also not established. Therefore, regarding the consciousness of form, if it is established that "it possesses a realm that is non-different from itself," then this reason is not valid. If it is said that the sound "is" tends towards the absence of a realm itself, and if the absence of a realm is seen, then consciousness of the absence of a realm arises, and with this reason, the consciousness of form is established as possessing a realm that is non-different from itself, then this will show that consciousness possesses a realm that is non-different from itself because it is without a realm. In this way, this reason is not established because it is one aspect of the proponent's position, so it is not valid. Furthermore, it is also not valid because the example has the fault of not possessing the property to be established. For example, the thought "this is a cow" is not one that possesses an absent realm, because the realm of the thought "this is a cow" is only the existing entity of the cow. Therefore, the opponent's example, like the arising of cow consciousness, has the fault of being incomplete with regard to the statement "it possesses the realm of non-existence," so it is not valid. Furthermore, regarding the statement "the consciousness of form possesses a realm in which tastes and other things other than the form itself do not exist," the "form" refers to the first conceptualization, "tastes and others" refers to the second conceptualization, "from the form itself" refers to the third conceptualization, "other tastes and others" refers to the fourth conceptualization, and "does not exist" refers to the fifth conceptualization. Since it is impossible for five conceptualizations to arise simultaneously in one instant, it is unreasonable to say that "the meaning of sound excludes others." In this way, those who speak of excluding others have shown that the view that non-entities have cessation is unreasonable. Now, in order to refute others who hold the view that non-entities have cessation, it is said again: For something that has become a non-entity, cessation is also not reasonable, because it does not exist. Just as with two heads, because they cannot be cut off. Having said these things, those are also the subject and

The dharma to be established, the dharma of establishment, and the example are arranged in order. For example, having no two heads, because of non-existence, cannot be cut off. Likewise, because things do not exist, they will not perish. By this, inferring by following non-existence itself, because there is no obstruction itself, for those who say that destruction exists in the absence of things, it shows that there is a fault of eliminating the nature of the subject in their vows. The above verse means that those opponents who say that destruction exists in the absence of things, inferring by following the absence of things themselves, that destruction also does not exist in the absence of things, have a fault of eliminating the nature of the subject, which is called the absence of things, in their vows to establish the existence of destruction. It has been shown that their subsequent inference itself does not accomplish the vow that destruction exists in the absence of things. This is the conclusion. Furthermore, if the destruction of destruction that you speak of truly exists, will it be destroyed by its own nature or by the nature of others? To this, destruction and destruction, neither by others nor by itself is reasonable. If you ask why? Just as birth is not caused by oneself or others. If you ask why birth is not caused by itself? As it is said, this birth is unborn, how can it give rise to its own nature? If it is already born and causes birth, what is there to cause after it is born? Because it is said so. If you ask why birth is not caused by others? As it is said, if birth is caused by another, it will become endless. If it is not birth that gives rise to birth, then everything will arise in the same way. Because it is said so. Similarly, here too, this destruction is not destroyed, how can it destroy its own nature? If it is already destroyed and destroys, what is there to destroy after it is destroyed? The verse of such detailed explanation, because it follows the negation of birth arising from its own nature, the negation of destruction being destroyed by its own nature should also be stated. If destruction is destroyed by another, it will become endless. If it is not destruction that destroys, then everything will be destroyed in the same way. Named
