It is considered that it is not the thing itself because it is not abiding. If it is said that because the function of abiding after arising is powerful, it is neither ceasing, nor a thing, nor permanent, because aging and impermanence arise after abiding. This is to refute the previous statement of the Madhyamikas that "whatever is not ceasing cannot be established as a thing." In response, the commentator here says: This is also unreasonable. If these things such as form do not have impermanence in the moment of abiding, then they will not have it later, because impermanence does not arise out of nothing. For example, fire can arise even without water, so it will never become the nature of water. If it is said that it cannot be denied because of seeing (destruction). This is what the outsiders say, that destruction is directly visible in the world, so it cannot be denied. In response, the commentator here says: Therefore, it should be examined itself. Is the destruction seen related to itself? Or is its non-existence seen? If the former is examined, then abiding cannot be established. If the latter is examined, then the thing not being destroyed cannot be established, so both cases lose the desired meaning. Some people think they are smart, for example, previously there was no Buddhahood, but later it became Buddhahood. Previously there was no destruction, but later it will become destruction. This is what the outsiders think, that if I say these words, others will think that I am proficient in the Buddha's teachings and treatises on sound. For example, just like the moment of consciousness in the state of an ordinary being, previously there was no Buddhahood, but later it was prophesied and became Buddhahood, when a thing abides, previously there was no destruction, but later it will encounter the causes of destruction and become destruction. In response, the commentator here says: This argument cannot be established even in conventional terms. To know

If a moment does not have Buddhahood, then it will not become Buddhahood later, because it has not been promised. Like this, a moment of wisdom that has eliminated the obscurations of afflictions and knowledge can be called Buddhahood, and if it does not have Buddhahood, it will not arise, so it is said, "That is impossible." The moment of mind in the state of an ordinary being, which does not have Buddhahood, will not become Buddhahood later. The wisdom of the Buddha that has eliminated the obscurations arises because there is Buddhahood, so in the state of an ordinary being, there is wisdom that has eliminated the obscurations. It is impossible for something that has not achieved Buddhahood to achieve Buddhahood later, because the two situations of not having Buddhahood before and becoming Buddhahood later are different, so they cannot be used as examples. Similarly, it should also be applied to aging. It means that what did not exist before will not become destruction later, but it has had destruction from the beginning, so it is being destroyed. Similarly, for aging, it is not that it did not exist before and became aging later, but it has had aging from the beginning, so it is aging. Because of this, it is unreasonable to say that there is a thing without aging and death, therefore the teacher said: All things at all times, are the nature of aging and death, what are the things that do not have aging and death, what is the thing that exists? This shows that all things are related to impermanence, so they have the nature of aging and death, so there is no staying. If there is arising, then existence is seen to arise, because arising is not established, therefore the non-establishment of meaning itself, or the contradiction of meaning itself does not disappear, this is the conclusion. Previously, the other party said that arising exists, because if it exists, there will be the dharma of arising, if it is truly established, then it is the non-establishment of meaning itself, if it is conventionally established, then it is the contradiction of meaning itself. Also, regarding this, you think that existence has existence, then is that existence existed by another existence, or by itself? Both of these cases are
