Because one wishes to completely avoid the faults of speech, if one asserts that arising is unconditioned, then how can it be the characteristic of the conditioned? Having said such things, etc. If arising is unconditioned, then it should not be the characteristic of the conditioned, because it lacks characteristics. The opponent's reason, arising, etc., conforms to the characteristics of the conditioned, because in this way the meaning is not established. Therefore, it truly shows that the aggregates, elements, and sense bases of the conditioned do not possess the very nature of the conditioned. To demonstrate this, arising itself does not have the characteristic of the conditioned, because the unconditioned is not self-existent. Thus it is said, etc. To prove this with valid cognition, or that the dharma of the unconditioned is the unconditioned itself, etc. If arising is unconditioned, then the dharma that proves it is not the characteristic of the conditioned is the unconditioned itself. In reality, arising, which is unconditioned, should not become the characteristic of the conditioned, because it is unconditioned, just like space. It harms one's own subsequent inference. These harm, these are the subject, the dharma to be proven, the proving dharma, the example, and the conclusion, which are connected in order. For example, space, because it is unconditioned, should not become the characteristic of the conditioned. Similarly, arising, which is unconditioned, also because it is unconditioned, should not become the characteristic of the conditioned. Arising is to grasp the manner of the sound of characteristic, so abiding and ceasing are also included, because one wants to say it is the characteristic of the conditioned. Those two are also negated in the same way, so it is not necessary to say the negation of those two again. This shows that the negation of the three characteristics, arising, etc., is similar. Here, the explanation is made only in terms of arising, because the manner of the sound of characteristic is closely grasped, it is merely symbolic. Thus, abiding and ceasing are also included, because those two are also what the opponents want to say is the characteristic of the conditioned. That

Those two, like birth, whether conditioned or unconditioned, are refuted because they do not conform to the nature of the conditioned. Therefore, there is no need to separately refute those two again. Furthermore, if one wants to examine these arising, etc., as the nature of the conditioned, then does one examine them individually or as a collection? This means that, on the other hand, if the opponents wish to examine these arising, etc., as the nature of the conditioned as they desire, then do they examine them as arising sequentially, or do they examine them as arising simultaneously in one object? This shows that neither case is reasonable. This is because it is first explained that it is unreasonable according to the previous method of examination. The three, such as arising, etc., individually, cannot be the nature of the conditioned. Because the combined characteristics such as the tail can represent the basis of the characteristic. This is what is meant, and so on. Just as it is said in the world, the combined characteristics such as the tail can represent the basis of the characteristic - the cow, so the three, such as arising, etc., individually cannot be the nature of the conditioned. This is what is meant. Even if it is admitted that arising, etc., arise sequentially, but for an unproduced object, there is no arising, abiding, and ceasing, so there is no ability to be the nature of the conditioned. This means that even if it is admitted that arising, etc., arise sequentially, but for an unproduced object, there is no arising, abiding, and ceasing, so they will not arise sequentially. Because arising, etc., depend on things, for example, saying the arising, abiding, and ceasing of a pot, if the pot has not arisen, there is no arising, etc., so they individually cannot be the nature of the unproduced pot. For a ceased object, there is also no basis of the characteristic, so there is no arising, abiding, and ceasing, therefore there is no ability to be the nature of the conditioned. This means that for the case where an object has ceased, there is also no arising, abiding, and ceasing, so they will not arise sequentially, just like ceased...
