That which has two qualities, that is, the subject of the dharma, is the nature of dharma. Here, "the internal sources of arising," means from what is it accomplished? It means that there is no arising from self-nature, which is the proponent. And it is known to both the proponent and the opponent, that there is no arising from self-nature, which is the dharma of establishment, that is, having these two, that is the nature of dharma. "Self-nature" means existence itself. "Definitely no arising" means that all phenomena are definitely without arising from self-nature. "Definitely no arising from self-nature," this is recollection, it is the dharma to be established. Among them, "recollection" means recollecting the non-existence of phenomena from non-seeing, and recollecting impermanence from self-nature, and recollecting cause from effect. Here, it is the basis for recollection, in the internal sources of arising, recollecting no arising from self-nature. That is the part. "Part" means the collection of dharma and the subject of dharma, here it is the dharma to be established, that is, the dharma of no arising from self-nature, and the basis on which it is established, the internal sources of arising, the collection of these two is called the part. That is the dharma to be established. "Dharma to be established" means the non-existence of phenomena, and impermanence, and cause. Here, in the internal sources of arising, the dharma to be established is the dharma of no arising from self-nature, that is the dharma to be established. "Because it exists" means because of the existence of self-nature, thus, "self-nature" means to impute to the existence of self-nature. "Because it exists," this is the dharma of establishment, it is the property of the subject. Among them, "dharma of establishment" means the dharma of non-existence of phenomena, and impermanence, and establishing cause, that is, non-seeing, and self-nature, and effect. Here, the dharma to be established is the dharma of no arising from self-nature, that dharma of establishment, that is, because it exists. Thus, "self-nature" means that which can be imputed to the existence of self-nature, and within that which can be imputed to self-nature.

The internal sense bases are existent by their very nature. Since they exist, they do not arise again. Therefore, the phrase "because of existence" is the dharma that proves non-arising from the self. This is called the reason. The reason is also non-entity, impermanence, the reason for proving the cause, non-apprehension, self-nature, and result. Here, the dharma that is not to be proven, the statement "not arising from the self," is the reason for proving "because of existence." Why do the internal sense bases not arise from the self? Because they exist. If the internal sense bases are existent by their very nature, then since they exist, they do not arise again. Therefore, the phrase "because of existence" is the reason for proving non-arising from the self. This is called the property of the পক্ষ (pakṣa, Sanskrit term for the subject or minor term in a syllogism). The property of the পক্ষ (pakṣa) is also the property of the পক্ষ (pakṣa) that combines the dharma and the possessor of dharma, non-apprehension, self-nature, and result. Here, the dharma to be proven, the statement "not arising from the self," and the possessor of dharma, the statement "the internal sense bases," are combined in the পক্ষ (pakṣa). The property of that পক্ষ (pakṣa) is the phrase "because of existence." Why do the internal sense bases not arise from the self? Because they exist. If the internal sense bases are existent by their very nature, then since they exist, they do not arise again. Therefore, the phrase "because of existence" is the dharma of the reason of that পক্ষ (pakṣa) that combines the dharma and the possessor of dharma, so it is called the property of the পক্ষ (pakṣa). For example, "like the existence of knowledge." The phrase "existence of knowledge" refers to the Samkhya and other systems that say that the nature of the purusha is the existence of knowledge, which is a synonym for the self. The term "itself" means that the entity of the existence of knowledge is the existence of knowledge itself. For example, the phrase "like the existence of knowledge itself" is an example, a positive example. An example is an example in which the possessor of dharma has the dharma to be proven and the dharma to be proven. Here, the example is the subject to be inferred, the পক্ষ (pakṣa) possessor of dharma, "the existence of knowledge itself," to which the inference is made. The dharma to be proven, the statement "not arising from the self," is known to both the proponent and the opponent, and the proving.
