Having spoken, "Venerable One, from the Prajñāpāramitā, how do others ask the Venerable One about how Bodhisattvas practice the Prajñāpāramitā? It was replied, "They do not practice the Prajñāpāramitā." The Venerable One taught, "If one practices the unborn nature of form, then one does not practice the Prajñāpāramitā. If one practices the born nature of form, then one does not practice the Prajñāpāramitā," and so forth. Thus it was said. How was it shown? The Prajñāpāramitā is separated from all concepts such as birth and non-birth. Therefore, when a Bodhisattva does not practice even the concept of the aspect of non-birth, then it is shown that at that time they are practicing the Prajñāpāramitā. Therefore, if one completely grasps the negation of what is not, it contradicts the scriptures, so here one should rely only on the negation of non-existence. Here, one should definitely grasp that all phenomena are only unborn from themselves. The word "definitely grasp" means that it tends towards the meaning of "only this." Here, there are three ways to definitely grasp: "Only unborn from themselves" is the first definite grasp. "Only from themselves is there no birth" is the second definite grasp. "Only from themselves is there no birth" is the third definite grasp. Among them, "Here, one should definitely grasp that all phenomena are only unborn from themselves" is the first definite grasp, meaning that here one should definitely grasp that all phenomena are only unborn from themselves. "If one definitely grasps in another way" means that if one grasps like the second and third definite grasps that will appear below, then both will become faults, so it is not allowed. In order to show the second definite grasp, it is said: "Only from themselves is there no birth, so what is it? It will definitely become born from others," and so forth. This is the second definite grasp, if one definitely grasps that all phenomena are only unborn from themselves, then what is it? It will definitely become the fault of being born from others, therefore

This is not right. In order to explain the third point that must be grasped, similarly, from myself alone, there is no arising. Then what is it? Because it will definitely become arising from myself and others, so it is said. This is the third point that must be grasped. If it must be grasped that things do not arise only from myself, then what is it? Because it will become the fault of arising from myself and others, so this is also not right. Why are these second and third points that must be grasped not right? Therefore, it is said that they also do not approve. The teacher also does not approve of these second and third points that must be grasped, because both will fall into the fault of admitting arising. Why do they not approve? Therefore, it is said, because it is far from the edge of the maker. How is it far from the edge of the maker? Previously, in the general outline of the vow, it has been promised that things do not arise from myself, nor do they arise from others, nor do they arise from both, nor do they arise from no cause. But here, the second point that must be grasped shows arising from others, and the third point that must be grasped shows arising from myself and others, these two contradict the previous promise. Here, the words that become the combination are, when explaining that things do not arise from myself, here the words that become the combination and related to the combination are, the subject below, and the dharma to be established, the dharma that can be established, and the example, these are all to be combined. The so-called words of combination are the words related to the combination, that is, the synonym for having subsequent inference, reason, and example. In the ultimate truth, the inner sources are definitely not arising from myself, because they exist, like the existence of knowledge. The so-called in the ultimate truth, previously not other, here all are negated in the ultimate truth, in order to must be grasped. In other aspects, there is no contradiction, because there is no contradiction in truly showing the particularity of the particular basis, and the view shown by the author himself is the supreme view, so it is said. After saying this, here, the negation of non-arising also...

It should be added with the phrase "refuting the ultimate truth." Among them, "regarding the ultimate truth" means to refute birth from the perspective of the ultimate truth, in terms of substance, entity, and basis. That is, one should abide in the conventional truth in order to refute the object of the ultimate truth. Because in the ultimate truth itself, there is no expression, so there is no term for refutation either. Among them, "the internal sources of arising, etc." is the aspect to be inferred, which is the subject. "It is certain that it does not arise from self" is the aspect of inference, which is the dharma to be established. "Because it exists" is the dharma of establishment, which is the reason, and is the dharma of the aspect. "For example, just like the existence of consciousness" is an example, which is a similar example. Among them, "internal" means blessed and made a place by the self. "Self" means possessing boundaries. First, abundant enjoyment and vast things, and then inferior enjoyment and small things are possessed, so it is called "self." That which is blessed and made a place by that self is "internal." "Sources of arising, etc." means that mind and mental factors arise and occur, and grow and expand, so they are sources of arising, etc., such as eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind. "The internal sources of arising, etc." is the aspect to be inferred, which is the subject. Among them, "to be inferred" means to infer the absence of things from the invisible, to infer impermanence from nature, and to infer the cause from the result. Here, it refers to the basis to be inferred by the phrase "does not arise from self," which is the internal sources of arising, etc. That is the aspect, and aspect means the aspect of the aggregation of dharma and subject. Here, it refers to the dharma to be established, "does not arise from self," and the subject of the basis for establishing it, "the internal sources of arising, etc.," the aspect of the aggregation of these two is called aspect. That is the subject, and subject means the basis to be inferred, which is the thing to be established and the establishment.
