Although things do not arise in the ultimate sense, in the conventional sense, they arise dependently from specifically determined causes and conditions, so stating dependent origination does not become a fault of assertion. For example, asserting consciousness as self, and then asserting that consciousness is not self in the ultimate sense, does not become a fault of assertion, just like that, what is being shown? Someone asked the Bhagavan: Bhagavan, if there is no self, how do virtuous and non-virtuous actions and their results become related? The Bhagavan replied: A tamed mind is virtuous, a tamed mind produces happiness. Therefore, in the conventional sense, acknowledging consciousness as self and as mine, when seeing the truths such as suffering, one says, consciousness is not self, I do not possess consciousness, there is no self in consciousness, there is no consciousness in self. Just as making such an assertion does not become a fault of assertion, here too, although things do not arise in the ultimate sense, in the conventional sense, they arise dependently from specifically determined causes and conditions, so stating dependent origination does not become a fault of assertion. If one were to say that this would become a fault of assertion, then therefore, the Bhagavan, who is spoken of in that way by one's own school, should also be refuted with the fault of assertion. What is the reason? Therefore, for example, a manifested person, when born, does not arise with the nature of a person, similarly, the nature of the arising of the sources of arising within illusions and mirages is also only in the conventional sense, not in the ultimate sense, so there is no fault, what is being shown? For example, a Tathagata or a Shravaka of the Tathagata who possesses miraculous powers, the manifested person that they manifest has a head, back, stomach, limbs, etc., therefore the birth of the manifested person exists, but because it does not have mind and mental factors, does not have feeling, mind, thought, attention, touch, etc., it does not arise with the nature of a person, similarly, like a magician's jewel and...

I, the male produced from the causes of mantras and medicine, do not have mind and mind-born things, etc., because I am not counted as a sentient being, so it is like being born without the nature of a male. Just as when a damp ground is scorched by the sun's rays, the vapor in the sky is mistaken for water, because it does not have the qualities of water, so it is like being born without the nature of water, the nature of the inner birth place, the aggregates that are counted as sentient beings, their birth is also a conventional birth, but the ultimate truth is that there is no birth, so there is no fault of violating the vow. Here, for the treatises to be explained in detail, in all occasions of debate, it should be known that the answers to all the refutations raised by others that contradict one's own words, contradict the scriptures, contradict the world, contradict direct perception, and contradict inference, are all written in this commentary, and there is no need to repeat them extensively again and again later. Others say that cessation after birth should be refuted because it is prior. Like annihilation. This means that other debaters do not have any faults even with the characteristics of reason, and then women and outcasts create strange things, and they also accuse them of establishing other faults with self-made faults. Others say, this is what other debaters say. Cessation after birth should be refuted, this is what the author of the sutra says, cessation is without birth, annihilation is without permanence. (འགག་པ་མེད་པ་སྐྱེ་མེད་པ། ,梵文天城体:उत्पाद निरोध, 梵文罗马拟音:utpāda nirodha,汉语字面意思:生灭), annihilation is without permanence, etc., for the words of establishing the body of the treatise, here other debaters say, this word is not correct, because here things arise and then perish, but if they do not arise, they will not perish, so here it says cessation is without, it prevents cessation, it says without birth, it prevents birth, this order is not reasonable, it should be said like this, without birth and without cessation, first prevent birth, and then prevent cessation, this is the dharma to be established. Because it is prior
