Someone says: If that fruit is to be obtained by other karma that has become a cause, then how can karma itself be said to be the fruit here? Therefore, in order to explain this, it is said, "Manifestation is indeed karma." What is called "manifestation" is the manifestation of the fruit of the treatise. What is called "is indeed karma" means that the fruit of the treatise, the manifestation itself, is indeed karma. In this way, when that fruit is manifested, it becomes karma. For example, it is like saying that there are three types of karma: bodily karma, verbal karma, and mental karma. What is that manifestation? Therefore, it is said: No cessation, no arising, No cutting off, no permanence, No coming, no going, Different meaning, not one meaning. It is said that this is (the manifestation). These eight lines of meaning are what the Blessed One spoke from the great sutra of the Prajnaparamita, and this is also the meaning of the Prajnaparamita. The Acharya also truly understood this meaning because he understood it. The suchness that the Tathagata correctly reveals with words such as no arising is also this. This is also what should be said as praise to the Blessed One. If you want to know how the meaning of these eight lines is definitely produced from the Prajnaparamita, therefore it is said: In the Sutra of the Holy Prajnaparamita, it says: Sons of the gods, this profound Prajnaparamita has the characteristic of emptiness, the characteristic of no sign, the characteristic of no aspiration, the characteristic of no fabrication, the characteristic of no arising, the characteristic of no cessation, the characteristic of no defilement, the characteristic of no purification, the characteristic of no self-nature, the characteristic of no support, the characteristic of no cutting off, the characteristic of no permanence, the characteristic of not one meaning, the characteristic of not different meaning, the characteristic of no coming, the characteristic of no going. Sons of the gods, this profound Prajnaparamita is the characteristic of space. Sons of the gods, the Prajna of...

This profound Prajñāpāramitā is a single characteristic, that is, a single characteristic with no characteristic. Sons of the gods, this profound Prajñāpāramitā is what the Tathāgata has shown in the world as a designation of expression, but it is not so in the ultimate sense, and should be understood from such statements. These eight meanings of words do not only come from the Prajñāpāramitā, but also from other infinite sutras such as the Noble Tree Arrangement Sutra. As the Noble Maitreya said in his own liberation, the realization of the Bodhisattvas is the realization of no coming, the realization of no going, the realization of no birth, the realization of no cessation, the realization of no cutting off, the realization of no permanence, the realization of no different meaning, and the realization of no one meaning. As it is said, similarly in the Noble Great Play Sutra, in the chapter on turning the wheel of Dharma, Maitreya, that is the wheel of no birth, the wheel of no cessation, the wheel of no cutting off, the wheel of no permanence, the wheel of no different meaning, the wheel of no one meaning, the wheel of no coming, and the wheel of no going. Like that and so on, these eight meanings of words also appear extensively in other sutras. Here, others say, praised the Bhagavan, saying that he wanted to compose a treatise, so if he wanted to compose a treatise, he should compose the treatise itself. Here, only the eight meanings of words such as no cessation are mentioned, but the treatise is not mentioned, therefore the teacher has spoken wrongly. As it is said

If the meaning of words is not understood, the meaning of sentences cannot be understood. The so-called "not understanding the meaning of language, explanation, and treatises" means that because the meaning of words is not understood, the meaning of language, explanation, and treatises is not understood, and therefore cannot be comprehended. Here, the summary of words is sentences, the summary of sentences is explanations, and the summary of explanations is treatises. Therefore, these sequences are the sequence of all treatises. The so-called meaning of words is merely expressing names and actions. For example, the so-called "no cessation," "no arising," "no discontinuity," "no permanence," "no coming," "no going," "not different meanings," "not one meaning," etc., each is called the meaning of words. The so-called meaning of sentences is the summary of the meaning of words. For example, here: "By what dependent arising, No cessation, no arising, No discontinuity, no permanence, No coming, no going, Different meanings, not one, Pacification, cessation increase, Perfect Buddha said, I prostrate to that victor." Like this, many meanings are summarized by words, thereby showing a complete meaning, which is called the meaning of sentences. The so-called meaning of explanation is summarized by the meaning of sentences, which is the complete meaning of the occasion. For example, each of the twenty-seven occasions of explanation, such as the examination of conditions, is called the meaning of explanation. The so-called meaning of treatises is the completeness of the meaning of all the explanatory treatises. For example, here is the overall display of the completeness of the meaning of all the verses of the "Fundamental Verses on the Middle Way," which is called the meaning of treatises. Therefore, If the meaning of words is not understood, the meaning of language, explanation, and treatises is not understood. Therefore, first, the meaning of words should be spoken, because for any author of treatises, there is no other different system, because understanding the meaning of words can show the meaning of sentences, and understanding the meaning of sentences can show the meaning of explanation,
