It should be connected as "Sapa." Since this is well-known to both proponents and opponents, it is called "the established dharma is well-known." So, what is the subject that has both the dharma to be established and the well-known established dharma, and can be shown as an example? It is the self-nature of going or the self-nature of the goer. Regarding this, there is also the saying "the dharma to be established is well-known in both, and is not other," and "the established dharma is well-known in both, and has the dependence of entering into a special expression," therefore, the example is shown through its power to be the subject that has both the dharma to be established and the well-known established dharma. Here, the "connecting word" means that in the case of proving that the goer and the going are not other, since the inference has reason and example, it becomes a connecting word, that is, the subject from below, and the dharma to be established, the established dharma, and the example, should be closely connected. In reality, it should be known that the goer and the going are not other, because they have the dependence of entering into a special expression. For example, just like the self-nature of going, the subject, the dharma to be established, the established dharma, and the example should be connected in order. For example, the self-nature of going is going, because it has the dependence of entering into a special expression. Just as the self-nature is not other, the goer also goes on the path of walking, because it has the dependence of entering into a special expression, so it should be known that the goer and the going are not other. Similarly, in reality, it should also be determined that the going and the goer are not other, because they have the dependence of entering into a special expression. For example, just like the self-nature of the goer, the subject, the dharma to be established, the established dharma, and the example should also be connected in order. For example, the self-nature of the goer is going on the path of walking, because it has the dependence of entering into a special expression, so the self-nature is not other.

Because just as there is walking, there is also a walker, therefore, saying that a statement with a special meaning depends on some connection. Therefore, it must be clearly understood that the walker and the walking are not completely different. Here, some other logicians say: If the characteristic of reasoning lies in inferring things through signs that possess three modes, and it exists in similar things, and it is necessarily contrary to dissimilar things, then, here, in order to prove that the walker and the walking are not completely different, the reasoning that says, "because a statement with a special meaning depends on some connection," even if it exists in inferable things, and it exists in similar things, however, since it has not shown a divergence from dissimilar things, it cannot be a valid reasoning. In order to answer this previous view that they raised, here it is explained that the reason why divergence from dissimilar things has not been shown is because dissimilar things do not exist, and therefore it has been established that it diverges from dissimilar things. That is to say, whatever has a statement with a special meaning that depends on some connection, all those things are not completely different. The opposite of this, the dissimilar things, which are whatever does not have a statement with a special meaning that depends on some connection, all those things are completely different, has not been shown because dissimilar things do not exist. Even if this has not been shown, since the dissimilar things do not exist, the reasoning itself will not apply to it, therefore, it can be established by assuming that it necessarily diverges from dissimilar things, so there is no fault. If someone says that for those things whose dependent relationship has not been fully established, the dependent relationship itself is not established, therefore, this does not pervade all the properties of the subject. Those who claim that things are completely different will say: You Madhyamikas have made all things, such as potters, the subject, and since these things do not have complete difference, and the dependent relationship has not been fully established, therefore, when potters and other things go to other things without depending on pottery and other things, the dependent relationship itself is not established, therefore, your reasoning, "because a statement with a special meaning depends on some connection," does not pervade one aspect of the subject, so it is not established.
