It is said that wherever there is movement, there is a path for walking for the sake of having the pleasure of walking. Therefore, the venerable Buddhapālita says that "whose" refers to "the walker." Some say that it is not reasonable, because the commentator himself proves that the explanation of the venerable Buddhapālita is not reasonable. Why is that not reasonable? Because it is said, "Because there is no corresponding word for 'because of that'." If the word "whose" is connected with "the walker whose," then the statement "therefore there is walking in walking" is not reasonable because there is no corresponding word for "therefore." Because "who" and "that" are always connected, just as the corresponding word for "who" here is "there," it is obvious that the corresponding word for "because of whom" should also be "because of that." Therefore, the word "whose" should not be connected with "the walker," but should be connected with "because of whom." Therefore, in that verse, "from where who," "there," and "walking" have the same meaning, referring to the path that is currently being trod. If the words "where," "there," and "walking" are connected with the walker, it would lead to the fault of oneself walking oneself, which is not reasonable. "Because the basis of action is not confused" means that saying "whose" refers to "the walker" is not only unreasonable because there is no corresponding word for "because of that," but also unreasonable because the basis of action is not confused. Just like that, the basis of action for the characteristics of moving and walking is definitely the path of walking, because it is always that way, so "whose" should not be connected with "of the walker." The statement "in order to show the negation of the walking of the walker who has gone and not gone" indicates that saying "whose" refers to "the walker" is not only unreasonable because there is no corresponding word for "because of that," and the basis of action is not confused, but also unreasonable in this way.

Thus, for the traveler on the path that has been traveled and not traveled, the going is obstructed, therefore the companion traveler of going also does not exist. And, the stepping of the act of going, also because there is no confusion that it is the path. For the path that has been traveled and not traveled, the negation of the existence of a traveler has also been explained. The so-called "what" is an explanation of the traveler, this kind of statement is unreasonable, this is what is called the explanation. The explanation here is a fabrication for those who claim that stepping exists. The author of the sutra explains the following in verse form. How can it be reasonable for going to exist on stepping? The meaning is, how can it be reasonable for going with the characteristic of movement to exist on the path of stepping? It is impossible. Whenever, even if the nature of being designated and not designated is admitted, going should not exist on it, because it is the path. For example, like the path that has been traveled. The meaning is, here also, whenever, even if the nature of being designated and not designated is admitted, this is a subject. Whenever, even if the nature of being designated is admitted, as said before: "Apart from what has been traveled and not traveled, stepping cannot be known." At the time of explanation, stepping is the nature of being designated and obstructed, but now the travelers admit its existence, even so, it should not exist with the characteristic of movement, because it has a special nature, so it is a subject. Or, whenever, even if the nature of being not designated is admitted, as said before: "Apart from what has been traveled and not traveled, stepping cannot be known." At the time of explanation, the so-called stepping, because it belongs to the category of the path that has been traveled and not traveled, therefore it does not exist elsewhere, so it cannot be designated and obstructed, so the nature of being not designated, but now the travelers admit its existence, even so, it should not exist with the characteristic of movement, because it has a special nature, so it is also a subject. To this, "going should not exist," this
