"There is never anything born." Because this sentence truly prevents the arising of all things. Therefore, what you say, that the aggregate body, which arises from the element of wind produced by effort, which arises from the cause of intention, and which is transformed from the elements, arises without interruption in another place, and that this occurrence is called "going," is not established. Moreover, this does not satisfy the wise. Just as with flames and so on, the knowledge that "going is mistaken" is itself mistaken. This sentence shows this: Just as flames and so on perish in the very place where they arise, and there is no going to another place, similarly, the going seen by the world is mistaken. And knowing that flames and so on arise without interruption in another place is correct knowledge. The knowledge that you, the Sutra school, believe in is also mistaken knowledge, because there is no going, so believing in arising is also mistaken. This does not satisfy the wise. The statement "The goer and the going are not different entities" will also be refuted. You say, "Therefore, going is not another thing," and so on, believing that the goer and the going are not different entities, but are one, and this will also be refuted later. The question of believing that going is not another thing and exists will also be refuted, so now it cannot satisfy the wise. This sentence shows this: Just as the Vaisheshika school's belief that the goer and the going are different entities is a wrong statement, similarly, your belief that they are not different entities is also a wrong statement. My truly refuting it is not proving what is already established. The Samkhya school says, "In a place not yet reached, there is more dust, and when engaging in activity, when entering a clear state, it is said 'going.'" The Samkhya school is to prove that there is going on a road not yet reached. They say that karma and the five senses, hands, etc.

Furthermore, the parts called feet, buttocks, and groin possess three qualities of inherent nature: strength, dust, and darkness. Among these, when the karmic agent—the foot—has a lesser proportion of the dust nature on the path not yet traversed, the entry into the characteristic action of walking is not clear, and therefore it does not walk. When the karmic agent—the foot—has a greater proportion of the dust nature on the path not yet traversed, and the entry into the characteristic action of walking becomes clear, then there is walking on the path not yet traversed, because dust is the nature of movement and entry. So they say. In response to what they say, here, by means of explanation, the more obvious things are refuted, and therefore walking cannot be established; it is merely speculation. Thus it is said. It is shown in this way: just as the action of walking is not clear beforehand, it will not become clear in the future either, because it is unclear like a flower in the sky. Therefore, walking does not exist even on the path not yet traversed, and thus it is established. The assumption that walking exists is merely speculation. Twenty-third chapter. If those who assert walking, fearing the faults mentioned above, insist that walking exists in stepping, and think that there are no faults as mentioned above, then the teacher, having ascertained that meaning, explains that stepping does not exist apart from what has been walked and what has not been walked, saying: Apart from what has been walked and what has not been walked, stepping cannot be known. And so forth, thereby showing that stepping itself does not exist. "There is nothing to be grasped" is a synonym, meaning that stepping is not visible. So, what is stepping? It is neither the path that has been walked, nor the path that has not been walked; the path that is currently being trod upon by the foot is stepping. It does not exist apart from the path that has been walked and the path that has not been walked; it does not exist between the two. How does it not exist? Here, is stepping what has been walked, or what has not been walked, or both, partly what has been walked and partly what has not been walked? If so, then there would be damage to inference because of indicating both aspects. Therefore, this is an argument for the non-existence of stepping. What is said here means asserting birth.
