Regarding those conditions that are not themselves the cause and have no reason to produce results, how can they become conditions? This is the intention of Master Nagarjuna. Because there is no result produced, there is no thought of cause and other conditions, and there is no object to which the word 'condition' applies. Therefore, conditions do not exist. Here, "There are four conditions: cause, objective condition, immediately preceding condition, and dominant condition," etc., it is concluded by refuting the self-nature and distinctions of the various conditions spoken of by others. This passage indicates that the first part of the "Analysis of Conditions" is concluded by the previously shown analysis. Among them, "here" refers to the first part of the "Analysis of Conditions." What are the previously shown analyses? Therefore, it is said, "There are four conditions: cause, objective condition, immediately preceding condition, and dominant condition," etc., starting from that point until "Therefore, it is not produced from conditions. Results are not produced from non-conditions. Because there is no result, how can non-conditions become conditions?" The various conditions spoken of by others refer to those conditions that those who claim to have birth say that birth can be established by showing the existence of the four conditions such as cause. Refuting the self-nature and distinctions of those conditions, among them, refuting the self-nature refers to denying the self-nature of the four conditions of cause, objective condition, immediately preceding condition, and dominant condition. Refuting the distinctions refers to denying the distinctions of the four conditions that other schools completely speculate, and the various distinctions with different names that the Vaisheshikas and others completely speculate. Because of that reason, it refers to because of that occasion. Concluding it refers to concluding the first part of the "Analysis of Conditions," that is, by refuting the self-nature and distinctions of the various conditions in this way, the first part of the "Analysis of Conditions" is concluded.

The concluding words are called "completely accomplished." So, what is the result of the first chapter on examining conditions, such as analyzing with reason? Therefore, here the meaning of the treatise is to show that there is no birth. What benefit is obtained by showing that there is no birth? Therefore, it is said, "The scriptural authority of dependent arising is no birth." The so-called "therefore" means that it is because no birth is shown. The so-called "scriptural authority of dependent arising is no birth" refers to the scriptural authority from the Great Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, which says, "Dependent arising is no birth." Connect it with the words of the scriptural authority that appear below. It is taught like this: In the Sutra of the Blessed Mother Prajnaparamita, the special basis, the special feature of dependent arising: "No cessation, no birth, No cutting off, no permanence, No coming, no going, Not different meanings, not one meaning." Thus, among the eight aspects that are taught, the scriptural authority of "no birth" is established. Because external and internal things, whatever arises dependently, even in the conventional sense, only appears to arise like a magical person, but in reality, the scriptural authority that says there is no birth from its own nature is also established. In the ultimate sense, whether it is one's own object, another's object, both objects, or without cause, the scriptural authority that says there is no birth from all aspects is also not established. Regarding this establishment of the cessation of conditions and no birth, others say: Can it be established merely by a dry treatise of logic? This is not acceptable. Therefore, here it should also be established by a reliable source of scriptural authority. For that, for the time being, in the Sutra Requested by the Noble Naga King Anavatapta, it says like this: "Whatever is born from conditions, that is unborn. That has no self-nature birth. Whatever depends on conditions, that is said to be empty. Whoever knows emptiness, that is conscientious." Thus it is said. Among them, "Whatever is born from conditions, that is unborn" means: Whatever thing is born from conditions, that is not born in the ultimate sense. Here, others say:

If that is the case, it would become like a flower in the sky. The answer to this objection is: 'There is no birth by its own nature.' This means that because there is no birth by its own nature, in the conventional truth, birth from things with the nature of no self-nature is established, so it will not become like a flower in the sky. Here, others say: 'If you admit that it arises from conditions, then this will harm your commitment, and my wish will be fulfilled.' The answer to this is: 'Whatever depends on conditions is said to be empty.' This means that whatever thing depends on conditions and relies on conditions is said to be empty, like the body of a woman conjured by a magician's jewel, mantras, and medicinal mixtures. 'Whoever knows emptiness is mindful.' This shows that whoever sees the bodies of these women as being like the body of a woman conjured by a magician, and also sees the five objects as being like illusions, then for him, afflictions such as desire will not arise.
