The meaning of the refutation term "non-cessation is the cause," and the meaning of the refutation term "the cessation and arising of seeds and sprouts will become causeless," that is, the cessation and arising of seeds and sprouts are both caused, which is obvious. If the meaning of the obvious refutation term is used, what kind of flawed words will it become? The meaning of the refutation term to be proved, "cessation is not the cause," by obvious refutation, will become the flaw of "non-cessation is the cause." The meaning of the refutation term to be proved, "the cessation and arising of seeds and sprouts will become causeless," by obvious refutation, should be changed to the cessation and arising of seeds and sprouts are both caused. What will that become? Cessation is not the cause, because it is caused. Arising is also connected to the cause that is not separated from the collection of mind and mental factors, because it is caused. Therefore, from the cause, that is, the non-cessation of the collection of mind and mental factors, the result, that is, the collection of mind and mental factors, will arise. The arising of the result is also connected to the cause, that is, the non-cessation of the collection of mind and mental factors, because both cause and result are caused. That is also unreasonable, because "that is also unreasonable" is a refutation of these two combined terms, because they have not arisen. For the former, the reason is not established, because the reason for "non-cessation is the cause" is not established, because if the seed does not cease, the sprout will not arise. For the latter, it contradicts the previous position, because it prohibits arising from everything, that is, "arising is also connected to the cause that is not separated from the collection of mind and mental factors," which contradicts the previous position, because it was previously promised that all things would not arise from self, other, both, and causelessness in any way, but in this explanation, it is to prove that it arises from the non-cessation of the cause. In this way, that verse also because it bestowed the immediately following cause

Furthermore, it is said: If the dharmas are not born, then cessation is also unreasonable. Therefore, the immediately preceding cause is unreasonable; if there is cessation, then what is the cause? This verse also refutes the immediately preceding cause. When the dharma exists, non-existence and existence and non-existence cannot be established, how can it be called the cause that establishes? If so, it is unreasonable. If it is an existing dharma, then the object of perception does not exist, and it is close to samsara. If so, this dharma has no object of perception, how can there be an object of perception? And so on, the previous verses also refuted the other causes, which is also to eliminate the meaning of the immediately preceding cause. Someone asks: Does that argument itself have the fault of meaning not being established? Answer: The previous Abhidharma masters, using the characteristic of the existence of cause as the argument, the four causes, namely cause and, object of perception and immediately preceding, and dominant, the fifth cause does not exist. Saying this itself becomes the fault of meaning not being established, because for us, the causes are not established in the ultimate sense. Someone asks: Will there be the fault of meaning contradiction? Answer: In the conventional, the causes that are established for both sides are explained, such as illusory people, etc., arising from the causes of jewels and mantras and medicines, for those things that appear without self-nature, you establish them as self-nature, so you will have the fault of meaning contradiction. Thus, the immediately preceding cause has also been examined, just as it was said before, the immediately preceding cause has also been examined, that is, the conclusion that it has been prevented. Now is the time for the dominant condition, so we must examine it. Because the dominant condition is explained last, therefore, now is the time to examine it, that is, to prevent it last. What is its characteristic? Therefore, you think that whatever exists, whatever arises, is the dominant condition. You, the Sutra school and the Vaibhashika, etc., think that whatever cause exists, whatever effect arises, that is the dominant condition. Here, for our side, because it has been explained that there is no arising in the ultimate sense, so all things
