If you think that is you, then it is actually contradictory to prove that you are the immediate cause. Or, if birth is generally accepted, it should also be said that, or we Madhyamikas do not accept birth in the ultimate sense, but in worldly terms, if it is generally accepted that mind and mental phenomena arise, it should also be explained in that way how it is unreasonable as an immediate cause in the ultimate sense. Here, the immediate cause is like this: if it is thought that the cessation of the aggregate of mind and mental phenomena is the immediate cause, then here, in the conventional sense, the immediate cause is considered to be like this: whichever aggregate of mind and mental phenomena has just ceased, it will produce a similar aggregate, therefore it is considered to be the immediate cause. However, that also cannot be the cause of wanting to arise the aggregate, because of the cessation, just like when consciousness has ceased for a long time, or like form. Here, "that also" refers to the subject, that is, whichever aggregate of mind and mental phenomena has ceased, that is it. "It cannot be the cause of wanting to arise the aggregate" refers to the dharma to be proven, that is, to prove that the aggregate of mind and mental phenomena that later wants to arise cannot be the cause facing the arising. "Because of the cessation" is the reason, that is, whichever aggregate of mind and mental phenomena has ceased, that is non-existent because of the cessation, therefore it cannot be the cause of wanting to arise the aggregate. "Just like when consciousness has ceased for a long time, or like form" is the example, for example, when consciousness has ceased for a long time, because it is separated by many moments of mind, it cannot be the cause of wanting to arise the aggregate, for example, the cessation of form is also not the immediate cause of the aggregate of mind and mental phenomena that is now arising, similarly, whichever aggregate of mind and mental phenomena has ceased, that also cannot be the cause of wanting to arise the aggregate. Then why is cessation the cause?

If it is said that this is unreasonable, therefore, regarding this, it is said, "If extinguished, what kind of condition is it?" That is only impossible to be a condition, because extinction does not help the desire for things to arise, understand it this way. This shows that without extinction, it does not help the desire for the collection of mind and mental factors to arise, because it does not exist. Whatever cannot help should not be a condition, understand it this way. Moreover, the word "also" is to summarize the negation, it is not an immediately following condition, nor is it a general condition. That is to say, the word "also" in "If extinguished, what kind of condition is it?" is to summarize the negation, it is not only an immediately following condition, even if it includes others, it is not a condition. If, because of the power of each determined cause and condition, things are arising, extinction is opening up opportunities, therefore it is helpful, and if other past moments are not interrupted, the immediately following condition is established, so there is no fault, if you say so, this is to show the other party's thoughts. Among them, because of the power of each determined cause and condition, things are arising, each determined cause refers to the eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, etc. Each determined condition refers to form, sound, smell, taste, touch, etc. Power refers to ability, that is, the power of each determined cause and condition. Things are arising, referring to things such as eye consciousness are arising. Extinction is opening up opportunities, therefore it is helpful, because if the previous moment does not extinguish, the future will not arise, therefore, because of the power of each determined cause and condition, things are arising, extinction is opening up opportunities, therefore it is helpful, so it is said that the immediately following condition is established, there is no fault. If other past moments are not interrupted, the immediately following condition is established,
