I: Regarding the inner dharma, whether it is existent, non-existent, or the nature of both existence and non-existence, it is neither established nor produced. The Tathagata has said that this is ultimately the case, so how can it be said to be possible? It cannot be said. Why? Because at that time, the very conditions of the nature of both existence and non-existence of the result are eliminated. At that time, how can it be called a cause that establishes? If that is the case, it is unreasonable. This is merely a cause that cannot be established. The meaning of this statement is that, ultimately, the dharma of the result, whether it is existent, non-existent, or the nature of both, is cut off from arising, and the conditions also cut off the production of the result. At that time, how can it be called a cause and condition? If that is the case, ultimately, the condition of the cause is unreasonable, and that is the conclusion. Therefore, ultimately, because the object of the result to be established and the object of the cause that establishes are not established, the meaning of the argument that the Tathagata spoke in that way is itself not established. The meaning of the argument is contradictory, which means that if the Tathagata said in conventional truth that the conditions are existent, and if you consider it as an argument in the way that it has the ability and does not arise without it, then here, your establishing the existence of self-nature in conventional truth is actually establishing the non-existence of self-nature in ultimate truth. In that case, you are contradicting your own view that self-nature exists in ultimate truth. Others say that the master Devaśarman, in his commentary on the Madhyamaka, called "White Manifestation," explains the meaning of this verse in this way. Why is it mentioned here? Because the master Sthiramati thought: Because I say that the nature of Nirvana as spoken by the Tathagata is quiescence, and that is only ultimately existent, similarly, the Tathagata also said that these four conditions are existent, so they are also only ultimately existent. How did the Tathagata say that these four conditions are existent? Therefore, the Bhagavan also said

In terms of..., the cause is established. The object is the object of mind and mental events. The immediately preceding condition is from those minds and mental events that have just ceased, except for the last one. The dominant condition is that if something exists, something arises, as it is said. This indicates the source of the Tathagata's declaration that the four conditions exist. The four words as spoken are also connected to the four conditions in order. Thus, because the causes and conditions exist in the nature of conditions, the desired meaning will not be lost because the reason is established, so it is said. The statement "Whatever the Tathagata has said is thus" is the conclusion of the conduct shown by approaching in this way. Whatever the Tathagata has said is thus, it does not change. The Tathagata has also declared that the four conditions exist, therefore, the four conditions such as cause are established as existing in their own nature. Our reason is established because it is spoken by the Tathagata in this way. Our desired meaning, that things arise from conditions, will not be lost, it is established, so it is said. In response to that saying, the commentator himself says here: Because it is thus acknowledged in conventional truth, and because its fault has been refuted, it is said that it is not reasonable. The statement "it is said here" refers to the explanation of the former position, refuting it with verses. The statement "because it is thus acknowledged in conventional truth" refers to the Tathagata's declaration that the four conditions exist, and I also, that which has a cause arises from a cause is a nominal term, and the cause will also become the same as that, it is established, because it is thus acknowledged in conventional truth, therefore your reason is not reasonable. The statement "because the fault of the example has been refuted" indicates this: As you previously said, grains and so on, in ultimate truth, the nature of having function is existent, but it is thus acknowledged in conventional truth.
